Loud Pipes (aka Loudpipes) were a Swedish hardcore punk band, active from 1994 to 1997, founded by Fredrik Lindgren (aka Freddie Eugene), and consisting of members from famous Swedish death metal and thrash metal bands (Unleashed, Merciless, Entombed, and Unanimated). They made one album, one EP and a split-single during their existence, and also appeared on several compilation records. [1] [2] The members of the band were Fredrik Lindgren, Fredrik Karlén, Peter Stjärnvind, and Nandor Condor. [3] They were initially signed with the Swedish label Burn Records, which Lindgren later also co-managed, and from 1996 with the French label Osmose Productions. Entombed is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1987 under the name of Nihilist. Entombed began their career as an early pioneer of Scandinavian death metal which initially differed from its American counterpart by its distinct "buzzsaw" guitar tone. However, by the early 1990s their sound had broadened to include garage rock and other influences. This new style would eventually be described as death 'n' roll. Along with Dismember, Grave and Unleashed, Entombed has been referred to as one of the "big four" of Swedish death metal.
Swedish death metal is a death metal music scene developed in Sweden. Many Swedish death metal bands are associated with the melodic death metal movement, thus giving Swedish death metal a different sound from other variations of death metal. Unlike American death metal groups, the first Swedish bands were rooted in hardcore punk. Gothenburg has a large melodic death metal scene while Stockholm is known for its more raw death metal scene.
The Queers are an American punk rock band, formed in 1981 by Portsmouth, New Hampshire native Joseph “Joe” P. King along with Scott Gildersleeve, and John “Jack” Hayes. With the addition of Keith Hages joining on bass in 1983 the band started playing their first public performances. The revised line-up played a total of six live shows between 1983 and 1984. This earliest era of The Queers formation initially broke up in late 1984; however, Joe Queer re-formed the band with an all-new line-up in 1986. In 1990, after several more band line-up changes the band signed with Shakin' Street Records to release their debut album, Grow Up. The album earned the band notability within New England, but with the release of their next album, 1993's Love Songs for the Retarded, on Lookout! Records, their following grew.
Grave is a Swedish death metal band that was formed in 1988 by vocalist and guitarist Ola Lindgren who is their only constant member. The band had particular success in the early 1990s, and their first four albums, Into the Grave, You'll Never See..., Soulless and Hating Life, cemented their reputation as one of Sweden's foremost death metal bands. Grave went on hiatus in 1997, but got back together two years later. Since then, they have released seven more albums, making a total of eleven studio albums. Along with Dismember, Entombed and Unleashed, Grave is considered one of the "big four" of Swedish death metal.
The Gallery is the second studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity, released on 27 November 1995 by Osmose. It was the first full-length release to feature Mikael Stanne on lead vocals, as he was previously the rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist.
Unleashed is a Swedish death metal band that was formed in 1989 by Johnny Hedlund in Stockholm. Common lyrical themes found in the band's music include Viking culture, recollection of a pre-Christian world, and Norse folklore. A number of their recent songs also contain references to J. R. R. Tolkien. Unleashed is considered one of the "big four" of Swedish death metal.
Peter Stjärnvind is a Swedish musician. His current position is the drummer of Krux and Swedish black metal band Pest, and guitarist and founder of Black Trip. Before that he also played in Loud Pipes (band), Merciless, Unanimated, Regurgitate, Entombed, Nifelheim, and Face Down. He also appeared in several side-projects, including Born of Fire and Murder Squad.

Jörgen Sandström is a Swedish musician. He provided vocals, bass and guitar for Grave on their first three albums and played with Entombed, on bass and backing vocals, between 1995 and 2004. He has also been involved with bands such as Krux, Vicious Art, The Project Hate MCMXCIX and Torture Division. He also did guest vocals on Nasum's Helvete and on Death Breath's Stinking up the Night.
Lifelover was a Swedish band formed in 2005 by Jonas Bergqvist and Kim Carlsson in Stockholm. Following six years of activity the group split up in September 2011 after the death of Bergqvist, as he was the lead composer and one of Lifelover's founding members. While widely considered being metal, Lifelover combined several genres into their sound, citing black metal, post-punk, dark ambient, doom metal and gothic rock among other influences. The band called their music "narcotic metal", which was described in a Decibel interview with Carlsson where he stated "anyone should be able to figure that out [what that means] or make their own conclusion about it."
Terra Firma was a Swedish stoner metal band which was formed by Fredrik Lindgren after leaving Unleashed and with Lord Chritus a.k.a. Christian Lindersson, who used to sing in the Swedish band Count Raven and Los Angeles based band Saint Vitus. Terra Firma later broke up and Lindgren started a new band called Harms Way. Terra Firma also featured the band members Izmo Hedlund on drums and Nico Moosebeach on bass, who later moved onto Entombed. The band recorded two albums, a couple of vinyl singles and appeared on a couple of compilation CDs and split 7-inch vinyl. Terra Firma played shows in Sweden and undertook European tours with band such as Atomic Bitchwax, Cathedral, Orange Goblin, Dozer, Masters of Reality, Blackshine, Dismember, Murder Squad, Entombed and Mammoth Volume.
Fredrik Eugén Lindgren, also known as Freddie Eugene, was a Swedish musician. He played guitar and composed music and lyrics in various Swedish bands, including Unleashed, Loud Pipes, Terra Firma, Celestial Pain, Born of Fire, Harms Way, and Atlantic Tide.
Glorification is the first EP by Swedish black metal band Marduk. It was recorded and mixed at The Abyss in May 1996 and released that September by Osmose Productions.

Driller Killer was a Swedish crust punk band. They were formed in 1993 in Malmö and are named after the Abel Ferrara film The Driller Killer. They are signed to the French record label Osmose Productions and have released seven full-length albums, and a variety of split releases to date. Their style has been described as heavy punk, hardcore punk, crust punk and D-beat. They are also strongly influenced by the sound of Discharge.
Homy Hogs were a Swedish punk band formed in Bro, Upplands-Bro Municipality, in 1979, and were active until 1988 with some breaks. They are considered true Swedish pioneers in hardcore punk together with bands like Anti Cimex, Mob 47 and Headcleaners. This foremost considers their first releases, the album Nöje For Nekrofiler from 1981, the cassette Ljudfientlighet from earlier the same year, and the EP Smash Overdose from 1982. Thereafter, the band played more regular punk rock and other styles. They also made some recordings and an album under the fictitious alter ego band name Werewolves on Wheels, taken from the title of their second album, idea-influenced by various concept albums. Homy Hogs are also known as characters in cartoonist Joakim Lindengren's comics. The album Nöje för nekrofiler was recorded and produced in 1981 by Mats “Subbe” Söderberg and released on the band's DIY label No Records. LT later started the record label Burn Records and ran it together with Fredrik Lindgren. In 1997 LT appeared guesting on backing vocals on the album The Downhill Blues by the punk band Loud Pipes, with members from legendary Swedish death metal bands Unleashed, Entombed, Merciless and others. LT (”Leffe”) and Gördis also appear in the author Stig Larsson's autobiographical novel När det känns att det håller på ta slut. The original drummer Palle Krüger has played with different bands in Norway after his time in the Homy Hogs, made solo albums, and also been a session musician, among others with Staffan Hellstrand.
