Nijdam's father, Henk Nijdam, was a professional cyclist from 1962 to 1969, who won the 1962 world amateur track pursuit championship. He also competed in the individual pursuit and team pursuit events at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
Alfons ("Fons") De Wolf is a retired Belgian road race cyclist, a professional from 1979 to 1990. He represented his country at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada.

Petrus "Piet" Gerardus Ikelaar was a track cyclist from the Netherlands. He represented the Netherlands at the 1920 Summer Olympics. At his first appearance he won bronze medals in the 50 km track race and the 2000m tandem competition, alongside Frans de Vreng.
Léon Hendrik Jan van Bon is a retired road racing cyclist from the Netherlands, who won the silver medal in the men's points race at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. He won his first major race at the professionals in 1998, winning the HEW Cyclassics. In 2001 he claimed the overall-victory in the Ronde van Nederland. Van Bon retired in 2013.
Maarten Jan den Bakker is a retired road bicycle racer from the Netherlands, who was a professional rider from 1990 to 2008. He won the Dutch National Road Race Championships twice and he participated in nine Tours de France, completing each of them. In 2008, Den Bakker ended his career. He also competed in the team time trial at the 1988 Summer Olympics.
Jacobus Johannes Henricus "Jacques" Hanegraaf is a retired road bicycle racer from the Netherlands, who was a professional rider from 1981 to 1994. He twice won the Dutch title in the men's road race. His other major wins include the 1984 Amstel Gold Race. Hanegraaf later became a cycling manager, first for TVM and later for Team Bianchi and Unibet.com. He also competed in the individual road race and team time trial events at the 1980 Summer Olympics.

Marc Sergeant is a Belgian former professional road bicycle racer. He competed in the team time trial event at the 1980 Summer Olympics. After Sergeant stopped his cycling career, he became team manager at Lotto–Soudal. He left his management role at the end of the 2021 season. Sergeant finished a total of 6 times in the top 10 of Tour of Flanders.

He also won the Olympia's Tour (1965), Ronde van Limburg (1966) and Amstel Gold Race (1968), as well as individual stages of the Olympia's Tour, Vuelta a Andalucía (1968) and Tour de Suisse (1970).
Richard Lockhart is a New Zealand swimmer. He competed in two events at the 1988 Summer Olympics. Lockhart also represented New Zealand in the 1983, 1985 and 1987 World Student Games.
The 1921 European Rowing Championships were rowing championships held on the Amstel in the Dutch capital city Amsterdam from 9 to 11 September. The competition was for men only and they competed in five boat classes, the same ones as had been used at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp.
