The Louth Junior 2B Football Championship is an annual knockout gaelic football competition organised by Louth GAA, contested by the second teams of Intermediate and Junior clubs in County Louth.

Contents

Prior to 1994, the Louth Junior 2A Championship was the only knockout competition for clubs' second teams. That year, the County Board introduced a second knockout competition, confined to the Intermediate and Junior clubs, which would be known as the 2B Championship. [1]

Trophy

The captain of the winning team is presented with the Terry Maher Cup, in memory of the former County Board Chairman. [2] [3]

The 2024 Louth Intermediate Football Championship was the 55th edition of the premier Gaelic football tournament for Intermediate graded clubs in County Louth, Ireland, organized by Louth GAA. The tournament consisted of 12 teams, with the winner going on to represent the county in the Leinster Intermediate Club Football Championship. The championship began with a group stage and progressed to a knockout stage after the elimination of the four teams that finished bottom of their group.
