Brian's Song is a 1971 ABC Movie of the Week that recounts the life of Brian Piccolo, a Chicago Bears football player stricken with terminal cancer after turning pro in 1965, told through his friendship with teammate Gale Sayers. Piccolo's and Sayers's sharply differing temperaments and racial backgrounds made them unlikely to become friends but they did, becoming the first interracial roommates in the history of the National Football League. The film chronicles the evolution of their friendship, ending with Piccolo's death in 1970. The production was such a success on ABC that it was later shown in theaters by Columbia Pictures with a major premiere in Chicago; however, it was soon withdrawn for lack of business. Critics have called the movie one of the finest television movies ever made. A 2005 readers' poll taken by Entertainment Weekly ranked Brian's Song seventh in its list of the top "guy-cry" films.
All-American Girl: The Mary Kay Letourneau Story is a 2000 American television film based on the real-life story of Mary Kay Letourneau's repeated rape of one of her sixth-grade students. The film was broadcast on the USA Network on January 18, 2000 and was followed with a special entitled Letourneau: Live, which featured interviews with Letourneau and others involved with the scenario.

10,000 km is a Spanish romantic drama film directed by Carlos Marqués-Marcet. It film stars Natalia Tena and David Verdaguer as a couple trying to make their relationship work, while one lives in Barcelona and the other in Los Angeles.
When the Moon Was Full is a 2019 Iranian drama film written and directed by Narges Abyar and produced by Kian Barazandeh. The film is based on the true story of the brother and sister-in-law of Abdolmalek Rigi, the former leader of the Jundallah terrorist group in the Iran's southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan. It won the Crystal Simorgh for best film and other top awards for its cast and crew at the 37th Fajr Film Festival in 2019. It was produced by Abyar's husband Mohammad Hossein Qassemi.
