Lowell Lyttleton Lewis (born August 18, 1952) was a politician, a former Chief Minister of Montserrat. He is the Chief Medical Officer of Montserrat.
Lewis first elected in April 2001, took office as Chief Minister on 2 June 2006. At the time, he headed a coalition government consisting of his party, the Montserrat Democratic Party (MDP), the former ruling New People's Liberation Movement (NPLM), and an independent legislator, Mr David Brandt. A snap election was called during his term, and was held on 8 September 2009. Reuben Meade was sworn in as new Chief Minister before becoming the first Premier of Montserrat. Dr Lewis was re-elected as an independent candidate, but subsequently lost his seat at the general election of September 2014. [2]
Haradanahalli Doddegowda Deve Gowda is an Indian politician who served as the prime minister of India from 1 June 1996 to 21 April 1997. He was previously the 14th Chief Minister of Karnataka from 1994 to 1996. He presently is a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha representing Karnataka. He is the national president of the Janata Dal (Secular) party. Born in a farming family, he joined the Indian National Congress party in 1953, and remained a member until 1962. He was imprisoned during the Emergency. He became President of the state unit of Janata Dal in 1994, and was considered to be a driving force in the party's victory in Karnataka. He served as the 8th Chief Minister of Karnataka from 1994 to 1996. In the 1996 general elections, no party won enough seats to form a government. When the United Front, a coalition of regional parties, formed the central government with the support of the Congress, Deve Gowda was unexpectedly chosen to head the government after V. P. Singh and Jyoti Basu declined the post and he was elected Prime Minister. During his tenure as prime minister, he also served as Home Minister for some time. His prime ministerial tenure lasted for less than a year. After his prime ministerial tenure, he was elected to the 12th (1998), 14th (2004), 15th, and 16th Lok Sabha, as Member of Parliament for the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency. He lost Lok Sabha elections in 2019 from Tumkuru but has been elected to Rajya Sabha since.
Purno Agitok Sangma was an Indian politician who has served as the 4th Chief Minister of Meghalaya from 1988 to 1990 and the 11th Speaker of the Lok Sabha from 1996 to 1998. He served as a member of the Lok Sabha from Tura in Meghalaya from 2014 to 2016, 1991 to 2008 and from 1977 to 1989 and the minister of Information and Broadcasting in the Rao ministry from 1995 to 1996. He was the founder of National People's Party and co-founder of Nationalist Congress Party.

He previously served as Chief Minister between 1991 and 1996 and 2009 to 2010. A member of the Movement for Change and Prosperity (MCAP), he previously led the now-defunct National Progressive Party.
Sir Brandon Kenneth Lewis is a British politician who served as Secretary of State for Justice and Lord Chancellor from September to October 2022. He previously served as Chairman of the Conservative Party from 2018 to 2019 and Secretary of State for Northern Ireland from 2020 to 2022. A member of the Conservative Party, he was Member of Parliament (MP) for Great Yarmouth from 2010 to 2024.
Leon Ashton Punch was a New South Wales politician, Deputy Premier, and Minister of the Crown in the cabinets of Sir Robert Askin, Tom Lewis and Sir Eric Willis. From 1975 to 1976 he was the Deputy Premier of New South Wales. He was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for 26 years from 21 March 1959 until his retirement on 2 July 1985 for the Country Party, renamed the National Party during his time.

General elections were held in Montserrat on 31 May 2006. Although the Movement for Change and Prosperity (MCAP) won the most seats in the Legislative Council, the government was formed by a coalition of the Montserrat Democratic Party (MDP), the New People's Liberation Movement (NPLM) and an independent council member, who together held five seats. MDP leader Lowell Lewis became Chief Minister.

The Movement for Change and Prosperity (MCAP) gained a parliamentary majority with six of the nine seats, while the outgoing Chief Minister, Lowell Lewis, and two other independents won the other seats. Reuben Meade of the MCAP was sworn in as Chief Minister on 10 September 2009.
