Lucas Joachim Matzerath (born 3 May 2000) is a German swimmer. [2] [3] He competed in the men's 50 metre breaststroke event at the 2020 European Aquatics Championships, in Budapest, Hungary. [4] He finished fifth in the 100 metre breaststroke at the 2024 Summer Olympics. [5]

At the 2024 Summer Olympics, he became Olympic Champion in the 200 m medley, 200 metre breaststroke, 200 metre butterfly, and 400 metre medley. He became the fourth swimmer in Olympic history to have won four individual gold medals at a single Games.
