The fourth season of Lucha Underground, a lucha libre or professional wrestling television show, began on June 13, 2018. The third season, just like the past 3 seasons was broadcast on the El Rey Network in the United States. The producers of Lucha Underground announced on November 10, 2017, that Lucha Underground was renewed for a fourth season set to premiere in 2018. In February 2018, two of the show's producers, Eric van Wagenen and Chris DeJoseph, announced that the Temple would move from its former location in Boyle Heights to Union Central Cold Storage in Downtown Los Angeles. In early 2018, Lucha Underground entered into a working relationship with Impact Wrestling. On April 6, 2018, Lucha Underground held a collaborative event with Impact Wrestling that streamed lived on Twitch. [1] During the co-promoted event with Impact Wrestling, a commercial aired announcing that the fourth season would begin airing on June 13, 2018. [2]
The Lucha Underground show is a lucha libre serial drama television series that combines traditional professional wrestling matches with fictional storylines and effects. Season four followed follow up on the events of season three, especially storylines left unresolved at the end of Ultima Lucha Tres. Although it was not conceived as such, it ultimately turned out to be the final season, as Lucha Underground was later discontinued. [3]

Promociones Antonio Peña, S.A. de C.V. d/b/a Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide is a Mexican Lucha Libre promotion based in Mexico City, Mexico. Commonly referred to as simply AAA, the promotion was founded in 1992 when Antonio Peña broke away from Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) to set up a promotion, which allowed him more creative freedom. AAA has held a number of pay-per-views (PPV) over the years and has promoted shows not just in Mexico but in the United States and Japan as well.
Major League Wrestling (MLW) is an American professional wrestling promotion based in New Rochelle, New York. The promotion was founded in 2002 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by former WWE writer Court Bauer. The promotion markets its product as "Hybrid Wrestling", with its roster featuring a mix of different wrestling styles.
Professional wrestling in the United States, until the 1920s, was viewed as a legitimate sport. This view did not endure into the 1930s, as professional wrestling became identified with modern theatrics. The scripted nature of the art has made some critics view it as an illegitimate sport, particularly in comparison to boxing, mixed martial arts, and amateur wrestling. No major promoter or wrestler denies that modern professional wrestling has predetermined match outcomes. Despite this, promoters and fans continued to play along with the tradition of viewing the matches as legitimate competition; this has become a tradition known as "kayfabe".
John Randall Hennigan is an American professional wrestler and actor, better known by the ring name John Morrison. He is best known for his tenures in WWE, Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground. Hennigan currently makes appearances for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as Johnny TV, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide as Johnny Caballero and for the independent circuit under various ring names.
Gilbert Cosme Ramírez is a Puerto Rican professional wrestler, better known by his ring names El Mesías, Mil Muertes, Ricky Banderas and King Muertes. He began his career in the International Wrestling Association based in Puerto Rico. While performing in the company, he won the IWA World Heavyweight Championship on five instances and held minor championships on fifteen separate occasions, before leaving the company in 2006. On March 12, 2006, he debuted in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), a promotion based in Mexico, as a character named Muerte Cibernetica and was involved in an angle where this character was "killed". In November 2006, Cosme was involved in the tapings of the Wrestling Society X television series, where he was the second and last wrestler to win the WSX Championship.
Triplemanía V-A was the first part of the fifth Triplemanía professional wrestling show promoted by AAA. 1997 was fourth year to feature the "Triplemanía Series" of shows with two, referred to as V-A and V-B, where this was the first of the series. The show took place on June 13, 1997 in Tijuana, Mexico. The Main event featured a Six-man "Lucha Libre rules" tag team match between the teams of Perro Aguayo, Tinieblas Jr. and Canek and Jake Roberts, Killer, and Gorgeous George III.
Triplemanía V-B was the second part of the fifth Triplemanía professional wrestling show promoted by AAA. 1997 was fourth year to feature the "Triplemanía Series" of shows with two, referred to as V-A and V-B, where this was the second and final of the series. The show took place on June 15, 1997 in Naulcalpan, Mexico. The main event featured an eight-man "Atómicos" tag-team match between the teams of Perro Aguayo, Octagón, Cibernético and El Canek and Jake Roberts, Gorgeous George III, El Cobarde Jr. and Fuerza Guerrera.
Víctor Manuel Soto Flores is a Mexican Luchador or professional wrestler known by his ring name Drago. He is known for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, where he is the former AAA Latin American Champion.
Oscar Vasquez is a Mexican American professional wrestler better known by the ring name Magno. Magno has wrestled extensively on the North American independent circuit, including appearances for Ring of Honor (ROH), Chikara, Lucha Libre USA and various National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) Affiliates, as well as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). He also worked in WWE's developmental territory NXT under his real name.
Dulce Maria García Rivas is a Mexican luchadoraenmascarada, or masked female professional wrestler, mixed martial artist and professional boxer who is better known by the ring name Sexy Star. She is best known for her work in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), where she is a three-time AAA Reina de Reinas Champion, while also being a former one-time AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion. She previously wrestled under the name Dulce Poly and held both the FILL Women's Championship and the FILL Mixed Tag Team Championship under that name. She worked for Lucha Underground, where she was a former Lucha Underground Champion and Gift of the Gods Champion. She is the first woman to win the Lucha Underground Championship and, by extension, the first woman to hold a World Heavyweight Championship in a major wrestling promotion.
Lucha Libre USA (LLUSA) was an American Lucha Libre promotion owned by Steven Ship. The promotion was most notable for producing the Lucha Libre USA: Masked Warriors television program, which initially aired on the MTV2 broadcast channel and chronicled the rise of Lucha Libre, Mexican-style wrestling, in the United States. The first episode was aired on July 16, 2010. The second season premiered October 1, 2011. On July 11, 2012 the remainder of season two began airing on Hulu with the final episode airing on October 3, 2012.
La Liga Wrestling, was a wrestling promotion company based out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Founded in 2012 by businessman Richard Negrín with the cooperation of established wrestling figures such as Hugo Savinovich, the company developed a global scope, establishing alliances with over a dozen international promotions and holding shows throughout the Americas. In line with the traditional model of professional wrestling, LLW's shows do not feature legitimate sporting contests. Instead, its programs feature storyline-driven combat sport matches with predetermined outcomes and acrobatic and grappling maneuvers that are worked, which are publicly promoted as legitimate bouts to accentuate the entertainment.
Fénix is a Mexican luchador enmascarado. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) where he is a former AEW International Champion. He also appears for AEW's sister promotion, Ring of Honor (ROH), where he is a previous holder of the ROH World Tag Team Champions with his older brother, Penta El Zero Miedo.
Lucha Underground was an American professional wrestling promotion founded in 2014 by United Artists Media Group. Partly owned by Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), Lucha Underground also refers to its weekly television program, which featured characters portrayed by wrestlers from AAA and the American and Mexican independent circuits. The series originally aired in English on El Rey Network and in Spanish on UniMás.
Pentagón Jr. is a Mexican luchador enmascarado signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) under the ring name Penta El Zero Miedo. He is a former AEW World Trios Champion with his Death Triangle stablemates Pac and his real-life younger brother, Rey Fénix. Penta and Fénix also team as the Lucha Brothers and are former one-time AEW World Tag Team Champions. They also appear for AEW's sister promotion, Ring of Honor (ROH), where they are former ROH World Tag Team Champions. He also appears in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), where he is a former AAA World Tag Team Champion, also with Fénix.
The Lucha Underground Trios Championship was a professional wrestling world tag team championship promoted by Lucha Underground. In contrast to usual tag team championships for two wrestlers, it is exclusively for three-man tag teams, also known as trios in Lucha libre. The titles were announced by the storyline owner of Lucha Underground, Dario Cueto on a show that aired on January 25, 2015, followed by a trios tournament that played out over several episodes of Lucha Underground. The final champions were The Reptile Tribe.
Ultima Lucha was a professional wrestling event that aired as the season finale of the Lucha Underground television series. The event was created in 2015 to be Lucha Underground's premier event of the year, similar to WWE's WrestleMania event.
The third season of Lucha Underground, a lucha libre or professional wrestling television show, began on September 7, 2016. The third season, just like the first and second was broadcast on the El Rey Network in the United States. The producers of Lucha Underground announced the season debut of the third season on July 29, 2016 just over a week after Ultima Lucha Dos, the last episode of season two had aired on the El Rey Network. All wrestling matches for the show were filmed at the Lucha Underground Temple" set in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, California between March and June, 2016. This season includes 40 episodes, more than either of the previous seasons, therefore pushing Lucha Underground to a total of 105 episodes. Season three will follow the pattern of the first two seasons and generally air as one hour shows, first run on Wednesday nights at 8 PM Eastern Time.
The Crash Lucha Libre, also referred to as simply The Crash, is a lucha libre promotion based in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. The promotion largely runs its events in Tijuana, Mexico City, and Monterrey. The promotion currently has working relationships with American promotions DEFY Wrestling, PCW ULTRA, and International Wrestling Revolution Group and Promociones MDA, China's Oriental Wrestling Entertainment. The Crash previously had a working relationship with Impact Wrestling in US/Canada, Mexico's Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide and Japan's Pro Wrestling Noah between 2016 and 2018, until Konnan, the intermediary between the promotions, left The Crash. On February 21, 2019 The Crash announced a partnership with Mexico's Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, America's Ring of Honor and Japan's New Japan Pro-Wrestling which would later on that year end in late September, on August 12, 2019, Major League Wrestling and The Crash Lucha Libre announced a working relationship which ended in November of that year when Major League Wrestling would work full time with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.
Lucha Invades NY was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced and scripted by the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), in partnership with Impact Wrestling. The event took place on September 15, 2019, at Madison Square Garden's Hulu Theater in New York City.
