Lucinda Whitty (born 9 November 1989) is an Australian sailor. She represented Australia at the 2012 Summer Olympics in sailing.
Nicknamed Lu, Whitty was born on 9 November 1989 in Sydney. [1] Jeremy Whitty is her father and has competed in several sailing races. [1] She has siblings and they are active in competitive sailing. [1] She attended Lane Cove Public School before going to high school at SCEGGS Darlinghurst. [1] She enrolled at the University of Technology, Sydney in 2008 and is enrolled as of 2012. [1] At the 2011 Weymouth & Portland International Regatta in Weymouth, Great Britain, her team finished fifth in match racing. [1] At the 2011 European Championships in Helsinki, Finland, her team finished seventh in match racing. [1] At the 2012 ISAF Sailing World Cup in Weymouth, her team finished first. Annemieke Marileen Bes is a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented her country for the first time at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. The Dutch Yngling helmed by Annelies Thies and crewed by Bes and Petronella de Jong took the 4th place. Bes returned to the Olympics, again in the Dutch Yngling, during the 2008 Olympics this time with fellow crewmember Merel Witteveen and helmsman Mandy Mulder. The Dutch Yngling team took the Silver Medal in Qingdao. Bes than switched to the Elliott 6m Match racing. During the 2012 Olympics the team with helmsman Renee Groeneveld and crewmembers Bes and Marcelien Bos-de Koning took 8th place in Weymouth.

Elizabeth Baylis is an American sailor competing in match racing. Baylis started her sailing career at an early age in the classic high winds venue of San Francisco Bay. She still calls the Bay her home, but she has accumulated over 25,000 offshore miles including many victorious Pacific Cup and TransPac races from California to Hawaii. She sailed with America True during the 2000 Louis Vuitton Cup. Baylis is probably best known for her match racing accomplishments as a skipper which include the 2002 ISAF Women's Match Racing World Championship. title and multiple Grade 1 championship wins. Her offshore and match racing success were recognized in 2002 when she received the US Rolex Yachtswomen of the Year award. As the Executive Director of the Women's International Match Racing Association (WIMRA) she led the campaign to include women's match racing in the 2012 Olympics and continues to promote the sport around the world by teaching clinics and running regattas. In 2013, WIMRA successfully launched the first professional match racing series for women with Baylis taking the role of Series Manager. Baylis is the Chairman of the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) Match Racing Committee.
