Paradiso railway station (Italian : Stazione di Paradiso) is a railway station in the municipality of Paradiso in the Swiss canton of Ticino (named Lugano-Paradiso until December 2022). The station is on the Gotthard railway of the Swiss Federal Railways, between Lugano and Chiasso. [1] [4] The station opened in 1945 and was renovated in 2018. [5] [6]
As of the December 2021 timetable change, [update] the following services stop at Lugano-Paradiso: [7]
The Monte San Salvatore funicular crosses above Paradiso railway station on a bridge. Its lower terminal is some 350 metres (1,150 ft) walk to the north of the station. [8]
Urban bus route 1 of the Trasporti Pubblici Luganesi (TPL) serves a stop on the south side of the station, as do regional buses of the AutoPostale to Agnuzzo, Bissone, Carabietta and Morcote. TPL urban routes 1 and 2 also serve the Paradiso Gerreta stop some 500 metres (1,600 ft) to the north of the station at Paradiso Gerreta. [8]
Lugano railway station is the main railway station of the city of Lugano, in the Swiss canton of Ticino. The station is on the Gotthard railway and is also the terminus of the Lugano Città–Stazione funicular. The metre gauge Lugano–Ponte Tresa Railway (FLP) has a separate station at Lugano FLP railway station across the station forecourt from the main line station.

Biasca railway station is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Ticino and municipality of Biasca. The station is on the original line of the Swiss Federal Railways Gotthard railway, at the foot of the southern ramp up to the Gotthard Tunnel.The line through the Gotthard Base Tunnel, now used by most trains on the Gotthard route, diverges from the existing line to the south of Biasca station, passing on the surface to the west of the town before entering the tunnel proper at Bodio. Biasca station can therefore only be served by trains on the slower, but much more scenic, original route.

Most trains on the Gotthard route now use the Gotthard Base Tunnel and do not pass through Airolo station.
Bodio TI railway station is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Ticino and municipality of Bodio. The station is on the original line of the Swiss Federal Railways Gotthard railway, on the southern ramp up to the Gotthard Tunnel. Most trains on the Gotthard route now use of the Gotthard Base Tunnel and do not pass through or stop at the station. The southern portal of the base tunnel is southeast of the station.
Ambrì-Piotta railway station is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Ticino and municipality of Quinto. It takes its name from the nearby communities of Ambrì and Piotta. The station is on the original line of the Swiss Federal Railways Gotthard railway, on the southern ramp up to the Gotthard Tunnel. Most trains on the Gotthard route now use the Gotthard Base Tunnel and do not pass through Ambrì-Piotta station.
