Luis Tomas Sosa Sierra (born 18 May 1995), also known as Luis Sosa, is a Cuban volleyball player. He played for the Cuban men's national volleyball team. On club level he played for La Habana. [1]

Sosa did not play in Rio Olympics in 2016 for being one of the six players of the Cuban national volleyball team that were remanded into custody suspected of committing aggravated rape in July 2016 in Tampere, Finland. [2] In September 2016, he was sentenced to three years and six months in jail. [3] [4] The Turku Court of Appeal overturned the decision in June 2017 due to lack of compelling evidence in his case, leading to Sosa's release. [4]

The Cuba men's national volleyball team represents Cuba in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Federación Cubana De Voleibol. The 2010 World Ringette Championships was an international ringette tournament and the 9th (IX) World Ringette Championships. The tournament was organized by the International Ringette Federation (IRF) and was contested in Tampere, Finland, between November 1 and November 6, 2010. The main competition took place at the Tampere Ice Stadium. The previous year the 2009 World Junior Ringette Championships took place in Prague, becoming the inaugural event for elite junior ringette athletes, but was organized as a separate event from the World Ringette Championships program.
