Lukas Hinds-Johnson (born 25 December 1988) [1] is a German international rugby union player, playing for the RK 03 Berlin in the Rugby-Bundesliga and the German national rugby union team.
Hinds-Johnson started his career with the Hamburger RC at the age of 14. [2] He was part of a group of German players which were sent to South Africa in 2009 to improve their rugby skills at the Sharks Academy as part of the Wild Rugby Academy program. [3] He spent six months in South Africa, together with Benjamin Ulrich from RK 03 Berlin and decided upon his return to Germany to move to Berlin and join RK 03. [4]
He made his debut for Germany against Georgia on 6 February 2010. [1]

The Rugby-Bundesliga is the highest level of the league system for rugby union in Germany, organised by the German Rugby Federation.
The Rugby-Bundesliga 2008-09 was the 38th edition of this competition and the 89th edition of the German rugby union championship. Nine teams play a home-and-away season with a finals round between the top four teams at the end. The bottom two teams determine which club is relegated in an end-of-season decider. The season started on 30 August 2008 and finished with the championship final on 23 May 2009, interrupted by a winter break from early December to late February.
