Lusail station is the northern terminus of the Doha Metro's Red Line and serves the city of Lusail. The station is located on Al Khor Coastal Road. [1]

The station was opened to the public on 10 December 2019 along with three other Red Line stations, over six months after the opening of the line's first 13 stations. [2]

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Lusail</span> City in Qatar

Lusail is the second-largest city in Qatar after Doha, and the economic capital of Qatar, located on the coast, in the southern part of the municipality of Al Daayen. Lusail is lies about 23 kilometres (14 mi) north of the city centre of Doha, just north of the West Bay Lagoon, on over 38 square kilometres (15 sq mi) and will eventually have the infrastructure to accommodate 450,000 people. Of these 450,000 people, it is estimated that 250,000 or fewer will be residents, 190,000 will be office workers and 60,000 retail workers.

Since the early 2000s, Doha, the capital of Qatar has been undergoing an extensive expansion in its transportation network including the addition of new highways, the construction of a new airport, and the under-construction Doha metro. These projects are meant to keep up with the population's rapid growth, which has strained the country's current infrastructure.

The Doha Metro is a rapid transit system in Doha, Qatar's capital city, which became operational on 8 May 2019. It has three lines with an approximate overall length of 76 km (47 mi) and 37 stations. It is an integral component of the larger Qatar Rail network, which will include a long-distance rail for passengers and freight, linking Qatar to the GCC, and the Lusail LRT. Capable of reaching 100 km/h (62 mph), the Doha Metro has one of the fastest driverless trains in the world.

Qatar Railways Company, commonly known as Qatar Rail, is a state-owned railway company, responsible for rail transport in Qatar. It is owned and operated by the Government of Qatar. Established in 2011, the company is responsible for the design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the entire rail network and systems. It manages Qatar's rail network. On May 8, 2019, Qatar rail started the preview service of Doha Metro with 13 stations on the Red Line, starting from Al-Qassar station in the North to Al-Wakra station in the South. The three metro lines that form the current network became fully operational by September 2020.

The Lusail Tram, formerly Lusail LRT, is a light rail network in the Lusail urban development project north of Doha, the capital of Qatar. The first phase of the system, a six-station stretch of the Orange Line, opened to the public with "preview service" on 1 January 2022. More stations will be gradually opened to the public, starting with Lusail Central station from 9 April 2022.

The Qatar National Library station is a station on the Doha Metro's Green Line in the Al Shagub district. It is located on Al Luqta Street, beside the Qatar National Library.

Al Shaqab station is a station on the Doha Metro's Green Line. Irrespective of its name, the station is located on Huwar Street in Old Al Rayyan, but is near the border with Al Shaqab. It serves the municipality of Al Rayyan, specifically Education City, Al Shaqab, Old Al Rayyan, Al Luqta and the suburb of Ain Al Rakheesa.

Al Rayyan Al Qadeem station is a station on the Doha Metro's Green Line. It serves the municipality of Al Rayyan, specifically Old Al Rayyan, Lebday, and other suburbs of Al Rayyan City. It is situated on Al Rayyan Al Qadeem Street in the Lebday district.

Al Messila station is a station on the Doha Metro's Green Line. It serves the districts on the border between Doha and Al Rayyan, specifically Al Messila, Al Sadd, New Al Hitmi, and Lebday. It is found on Al Rayyan Road in Al Sadd, across the street from Al Sadd's boundary with Al Messila.

Hamad Hospital station is a station on the Doha Metro's Green Line in Qatar. It is found on Al Rayyan Road in the Al Sadd district of Doha, opposite Hamad Hospital in Hamad Medical City. It serves both the aforementioned districts.

The White Palace station is a station on the Doha Metro's Green Line in Hamad Medical City. It serves the Hamad Medical City and the Rumeilah districts. It is located on Ahmed Bin Ali Street in Hamad Medical City.

Al Bidda station is an interchange station between the Doha Metro's Green Line and the Red Line located in Al Bidda Park in the Al Bidda district. The station also serves Mushayrib, Fereej Bin Mahmoud, Rumeilah and Al Jasrah.
