Lust for Gold is the seventeenth studio album by American alternative rock band Starflyer 59. It was released on August 16,2024 by independent label Velvet Blue Music,run by former Starflyer 59 member Jeff Cloud.
The album returns to the shoegaze sound of Starflyer 59's first three studio albums,where the title is a play on words with Gold,their second studio album.[1][a]Lust for Gold examines themes of melancholy and nostalgia,where each song covers "a thought of a moment or a memory in [band frontman Jason Martin's] life."[2]
