Lutterell Ward is a Rushcliffe Borough Council ward located in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire.

Lutterell Ward has a place in British retail history as the location of the UK's first major out-of-town shopping development. In 1964, an American company called GEM opened a store on Loughborough Road. However, despite ambitious expansion plans, GEM's British operations were not a success, with only two other stores at Cross Gates, Leeds and Cliff Mill, Dundonald Street, Preston being opened. National concessionaires withdrew from the stores and, in 1966, the fledgling Asda superstore chain, whose then parent company was the Leeds, Yorkshire based dairy farming conglomerate, Associated Dairies, acquired a controlling interest in the GEM operations. The Loughborough Road site still has an Asda store, although it was replaced by a brand new and much larger store on land adjacent to the old site in 1999. The original building was demolished and is now part of the current Asda supercentre car park and petrol station area. Asda West Bridgford is currently the largest shop in the ward.
The ward lies primarily on Wilford Hill. The adjoining wards are Trent Bridge Ward, Musters Ward, Compton Acres Ward and Ruddington Ward.
Lutterell Ward is home to the highest point in Nottinghamshire on the south bank of the Trent. From this point, Trent Valley is visible from as far as Newark-on-Trent.
The South Nottingham College site was sold and demolished to make way for a housing development. The South Notts Hussars public house was demolished and a care home and houses were built in its place. [1]
Helen Richardson-Walsh's first club was West Bridgford Hockey Club located in Lutterell Ward. She then continued playing hockey and won a gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Lutterell Ward returned two Labour Party (UK) candidates at the 2019 elections, Naseem Begum and Benjamin Gray. [2]

The distinctive dialect of East Midlands English is extensively spoken, in which the name of the town is pronounced.
Rushcliffe is a local government district with borough status in Nottinghamshire, England. The population of the Local Authority at the 2011 Census was 111,129. Its council, Rushcliffe Borough Council(0115 981 9911), is based in West Bridgford. It was formed on 1 April 1974 by merging the West Bridgford Urban District, the Bingham Rural District and part of Basford Rural District.
Sutton Bonington is a village and civil parish lying along the valley of the River Soar in the Borough of Rushcliffe, south-west Nottinghamshire, England. The University of Nottingham has a 420 hectares (4.2 km2) site just to the north of the village: Sutton Bonington Campus.
Carlton is a town in the Borough of Gedling, Nottinghamshire, England. It is to the east of Nottingham. The population at the 2011 Census was 6,881. It was an urban district until 1974, whose wards had an estimated population of 48,416 in 2015. Due to the growth of residential, commercial and industrial in the wider Gedling Borough, City of Nottingham, Borough of Broxtowe, Rushcliffe and Ashfield District. As well as the Amber Valley and Borough of Erewash in Derbyshire which have become quite urban around Nottingham. Carlton and Gedling as well as Netherfield form a contiguous urban area.
Bingham is a market town in the Rushcliffe borough of Nottinghamshire, England, 9 miles (14 km) east of Nottingham, 11.7 miles south-west of Newark-on-Trent and 14.5 miles west of Grantham. The town had a population of 9,131 at the 2011 census.
West Bridgford is a town and the administrative centre of the Borough of Rushcliffe in the county of Nottinghamshire, England. It lies immediately south of the city of Nottingham, from which the River Trent divides it. The population was estimated at 48,225 in 2018. The town is part of the constituency of Rushcliffe, which is held by Ruth Edwards of the Conservative Party.

Ruddington is a large village in the Borough of Rushcliffe in Nottinghamshire, England. The village is 5 miles (8 km) south of Nottingham and 11 miles (18 km) northwest of Loughborough. It had a population of 6,441 at the 2001 Census, increasing to 7,216 at the 2011 Census.

Keyworth is a large Village of Nottinghamshire, England. It is located about 6 miles (11 km) southeast of the centre of Nottingham. It sits on a small, broad hilltop about 200 feet above sea level which is set in the wider undulating boulder clay that characterises the area south of Nottingham.
Kingston on Soar is a village and civil parish in the Rushcliffe borough of Nottinghamshire, England.
Compton Acres is a housing development located to the south west of West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, England, on the rural-urban fringe. Compton Acres also borders with the villages of Ruddington and Wilford. Most of the estate was built in the 1990s.
Wilford Hill is the highest point in Nottinghamshire on the Trent's south bank, giving views of the Trent Valley as far as Newark-on-Trent.
Edwalton is an area of West Bridgford in the Borough of Rushcliffe, in Nottinghamshire, England, covering Gamston and the older Edwalton village. The population of the Rushcliffe Ward was 3,908 at the 2011 Census. A 2019 estimate put it at 4,892.

It is ranked regularly in the top 100 comprehensive schools in the UK for GCSE results and is in the top 2% of UK comprehensives for A Level results. The School is recognised as Outstanding by Ofsted in all categories.
Nottinghamshire County Hall is a large municipal building located at Loughborough Road on the south bank of the River Trent at West Bridgford in Rushcliffe, Nottinghamshire, England. It is the headquarters of Nottinghamshire County Council which is the upper tier local authority and has jurisdiction across the whole of Nottinghamshire except the City of Nottingham which is administered independently by the unitary authority of Nottingham City Council.
