Model career

At an early age Luz was determined to leave her native Mexico and move to New York, few weeks later while walking in the streets of SoHo, Manhattan she was discovered by a scout and within a short time her distinctive beauty, prevalent hair and unique features brought her to work with top magazines and publications, the biggest fashion houses and advertising campaigns such as L’Oréal, Estée Lauder, Dior Makeup, YSL Beauty, Balmain, Carolina Herrera, Clinique, MAC Cosmetics and Pantene. Early life

Before Luz became a model she partnered with her sister and founded a fashion business in New York, they were designing wardrobe pieces and created a dress called "The Ruffle Tube Dress" soon after it became a hit and a best seller when stylist Patricia Field from Sex and the City featured it on the show. Lyme disease

Luz had to pause modeling for some time due to her ongoing battle with late stage chronic Lyme disease, as a result of the illness she was unable to walk for long time. Now Pavon is back and still modeling as well focusing on personal projects, art, altruism and supporting non profit organizations to help sufferers of chronic pain and incurable illnesses. [16] [17]
