Lynn D. Stewart (born 1941) is an American politician and a former Republican member of the Nevada Assembly from February 2006 to 2016,representing District 22 in Clark County. [1] 2015 Session. Lynn Stewart was Chairman of the Legislative Operations and Elections Committee. His vote in favor of the controversial Governor's Budget (which included a "Margin Tax")was not the cause of his not running for reelection. He did not run for reelection in 2016 because of poor eyesight caused by Macular Degeneration. [2]

The Nevada Assembly is the lower house of the Nevada Legislature,the state legislature of the U.S. state of Nevada,the upper house being the Nevada Senate. Term limits,limiting assembly members to six 2-year terms,took effect in 2010. It currently (2012–2021) consists of 21 members from single-member districts. In the previous redistricting (2002–2011) there were 19 districts,two of which were multimember. Since 2012,there have been 21 districts,each formed by combining two neighboring state assembly districts. Each state senator represented approximately 128,598 as of the 2010 United States census. Article Four of the Constitution of Nevada sets that state senators serve staggered four-year terms.

He was Nevada's first Latino member of the U.S. House of Representatives and Kihuen described himself as the first "Dreamer" elected to Congress. In December 2017,House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi called on Kihuen to resign in response to sexual misconduct allegations against him by a female campaign staff member,as reported by BuzzFeed. He refused to resign but did not run for reelection in 2018.
