M. Jane Brady (born January 11,1951) [1] is an American attorney and former judge. She was the Attorney General of Delaware from 1995 to 2005,the first woman to serve in that position. [2] From 2005 to 2017,she served as a judge on the Delaware Superior Court. [2]
Brady earned her undergraduate degree from University of Delaware and a JD degree from Villanova University School of Law. [3]
Brady became an attorney in 1977. [2] She then proceeded to serve as a prosecutor for twelve years,followed by four years of private law practice,and an unsuccessful attempt to be elected to the United States Senate seat then held by future president Joe Biden. In 1994 she was elected Delaware's first female attorney general,as a Republican. [2] She was re-elected in 1998 and 2002.
She resigned as attorney general in December 2005,and became a judge on the Delaware Superior Court. [2]
Brady is a supporter of former president Donald Trump,defeated by Biden in the 2020 presidential election. In the aftermath of the storming of the Capitol by a mob of Trump supporters,Brady claimed that Trump bore no responsibility for the riot and opposed efforts to remove him from office. Brady has also claimed that election "irregularities" occurred in the 2020 election due to mail-in voting. [4]
Brady stepped down as Chair of the Delaware Republican Party in 2023 and joined as co-chair of A Better Delaware on May 3,2023. [5]
Brady is married to Michael Neal and has an adopted son,Trent. [6]
Kevin Patrick Brady is an American politician who served as the U.S. representative for Texas's 8th congressional district from 1997 to 2023. He is a member of the Republican Party. The district includes northern Houston, including The Woodlands. He retired after the 2022 election cycle.

Lucian Lincoln Wood Jr. is an American former attorney who made claims about the existence of widespread election fraud during the 2020 US presidential election. He has faced legal sanctions for lawsuits made in furtherance of these claims in the state of Michigan. In July 2023, while facing investigation and possible disciplinary action by the State Bar of Georgia for violating the Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct, Wood surrendered his law license and asked to retire rather than face disbarment.
John Charles Eastman is an American lawyer and academic. Due to his efforts to overturn the 2020 United States presidential election, attempting to keep then-president Donald Trump in office and obstruct the certification of Joe Biden's victory, he has been criminally indicted, ordered inactive by the State Bar of California, and recommended for disbarment. Eastman has lost eligibility to practice law in California state courts, pending his appeal of the state bar judge's ruling that recommended him for disbarment. Eastman is also a co-conspirator in the federal indictment brought against Trump over his attempts to subvert the 2020 election results and prevent the certification of Biden's election.

After Democrat Joe Biden won the 2020 United States presidential election, Republican nominee and then-incumbent president Donald Trump pursued an unprecedented effort to overturn the election, with support from his campaign, proxies, political allies, and many of his supporters. These efforts culminated in the January 6 Capitol attack by Trump supporters in an attempted self-coup d'état. Trump and his allies used the "big lie" propaganda technique to promote false claims and conspiracy theories asserting the election was stolen by means of rigged voting machines, electoral fraud and an international conspiracy. Trump pressed Department of Justice leaders to challenge the results and publicly state the election was corrupt. However, the attorney general, director of National Intelligence, and director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency – as well as some Trump campaign staff – dismissed these claims. State and federal judges, election officials, and state governors also determined the claims were baseless. Trump loyalists, including chief of staff Mark Meadows, personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, and several Republican lawmakers, attempted to keep Trump in power. At the state level, they targeted legislatures with the intent of changing the results or delaying electoral vote certification at the Capitol. Nationally, they promoted the idea Vice President Mike Pence could refuse to certify the results on January 6, 2021. Hundreds of elected Republicans, including members of Congress and governors, have refused to acknowledge Biden's victory; a few have acknowledged it. Trump's legal team sought to bring a case before the Supreme Court, but none of the 63 lawsuits they filed were successful. They pinned their hopes on Texas v. Pennsylvania, but on December 11, 2020, the Supreme Court declined to hear the case. Afterward, Trump considered ways to remain in power, including military intervention, seizing voting machines, and another appeal to the Supreme Court.
