M. Jane Brady (born January 11,1951) [1] is an American attorney and former judge. She was the Attorney General of Delaware from 1995 to 2005,the first woman to serve in that position. [2] From 2005 to 2017,she served as a judge on the Delaware Superior Court. [2]
Brady earned her undergraduate degree from University of Delaware and a JD degree from Villanova University School of Law. [3]
Brady became an attorney in 1977. [2] She then proceeded to serve as a prosecutor for twelve years,followed by four years of private law practice,and an unsuccessful attempt to be elected to the United States Senate seat then held by future president Joe Biden. In 1994 she was elected Delaware's first female attorney general,as a Republican. [2] She was re-elected in 1998 and 2002.
She resigned as attorney general in December 2005,and became a judge on the Delaware Superior Court. [2]
Brady is supporter of former president Donald Trump,defeated by Biden in the 2020 presidential election. In the aftermath of the storming of the Capitol by a mob of Trump supporters,Brady claimed that Trump bore no responsibility for the riot and opposed efforts to remove him from office. Brady has also claimed that election "irregularities" occurred in the 2020 election due to mail-in voting. [4]
Brady stepped down as Chair of the Delaware Republican Party in 2023 and joined as co-chair of A Better Delaware on May 3,2023. [5]
Brady is married to Michael Neal and has an adopted son,Trent. [6]
Kevin Patrick Brady is an American politician who served as the U.S. representative for Texas's 8th congressional district from 1997 to 2023. He is a member of the Republican Party. The district includes northern Houston, including The Woodlands. He retired after the 2022 election cycle.

John Charles Eastman is an American lawyer and former academic who has been criminally indicted for assisting then-President Donald Trump's efforts to maintain the presidency and prevent its transition to Joe Biden after the 2020 U.S. presidential election. He is the founding director of the Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, a public-interest law firm affiliated with the Claremont Institute, a conservative think tank. He is a former professor and former dean at Chapman University School of Law. He ran unsuccessfully as a Republican for California's 34th congressional district in 1990, and for California Attorney General in 2010. He is a former law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Eastman has been criminally indicted in Georgia and is facing disbarment proceedings in California for his role in assisting then-president Donald Trump's attempts to undo the 2020 election results, including by pressuring vice president Mike Pence to reject the votes of electors from crucial swing states that Biden won while certifying the 2020 United States presidential election. He is also suspected of being a co-conspirator in the federal indictment of Donald Trump.

After Democratic nominee Joe Biden won the 2020 United States presidential election, Republican nominee and then-incumbent President Donald Trump pursued an unprecedented effort to overturn the election, with support and assistance from his campaign, proxies, political allies, and many of his supporters. These efforts culminated in the January 6 United States Capitol attack by Trump supporters, which was widely described as an attempted coup d'état. One week later, Trump was impeached for incitement of insurrection but was acquitted by the Senate by a vote of 57–43, 10 votes short of the 67 votes required to convict him.

Following the results of the 2020 United States presidential election, an obstruction scheme was devised by 45th U.S. president Donald Trump and his allies in seven key swing states to create and submit fraudulent certificates of ascertainment that falsely asserted Trump had won the electoral college vote in those states. The intent of the scheme was to pass the fraudulent certificates to then-vice president Mike Pence in the hope he would count them, rather than the authentic certificates, and thus overturn Joe Biden's victory. This effort was predicated on a fringe legal theory outlined by Trump attorney John Eastman in the Eastman memos, which claimed the vice president has constitutional discretion to swap official electors with an alternate slate during the certification process, thus changing the outcome of the electoral college vote and the overall winner of the presidential race. This scheme infamously came to be known as the Pence Card.
