S. S. Sivasankar is an Indian politician and writer from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). He has represented Andimadam (2006–11),and Kunnam constituencies in Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. From 7 May 2021 to 29 March 2022,he served as Minister for the Welfare of Backward,Most Backward and Denotified Communities in the Council of Ministers under M.K. Stalin. Just prior to the 2021 Puducherry assembly election Vaithianathan joined the Congress party and contested from Lawspet constituency again,this time defeating the Puducherry state BJP president,V. Saminathan by a margin of 5701 votes.
A. M. Krishnamurthy was an Indian politician who was member of the Bharatiya Janata Party until he joined All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam in 2006. Krishnamurthy was a member of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly from the Reddiarpalayam constituency in Ozhukarai taluk,Puducherry district from 2001 to 2006. He was first elected MLA of Bharatiya Janata Party in Puducherry Legislative Assembly. Krishnamurthy died on 14 April 2024,aged 66.
