MC Prayer is the second studio album of Motswako hip-hop artist Tuks, released in 2006 in South Africa through EMI Records as the follow-up to his SAMA award-winning debut Mafoko A Me .
The album was well received in general with Channel24 giving it a 3/5 rating and stating: "Even with standout hits missing, he does not completely disappoint. The Maf Town rapper has mixed intelligent lyrics with great beats to create an album worth owning. Even if listeners don't verstaan seTswana, they'll surely enjoy the music from “Remember Where?”, “Monate Thwaa”, “Lebotha” and more." [2]

Motswako is a Southern African subgenre of hip hop popular in South Africa. It consists of a mix of rap lyrics in both the local language (Setswana) and English layered on a steady beat. Other languages used include Sesotho, Zulu and Afrikaans as per the rapper's origin. The genre gained popularity in the late nineties as South African acts like HHP and Baphixile started rapping in Setswana, resulting in an increased following from the local population. Because of its reputation in South Africa most of the upcoming artists use this genre as a base before they start their music careers because of its basic principles, a good motswako artist have to learn the creative writing skills used to perfect the genre making it easy to learn and write music. Today there is a high pool of motswako artists in Botswana and South Africa with few females artists.
Tumelo Kepadisa, simply known as Tuks Senganga or Tuks, is a South African motswako rapper born in Mafikeng, in the former homeland of the Bophuthatswana. He frequently performs in ethnic languages, though mostly Setswana. Tuks Senganga started writing in 1993, drawing inspiration from everyday issues in his immediate environment. His career took off in 2005 with his first album Mafoko A Me. This was the album that earned him the Best Hip Hop Album Award at the 12th Annual MTN South African Music Awards (SAMA).

Game Goabaone Bantsi, better known by his stage name Zeus, is a Motswana hip-hop artist, MC and businessman. Zeus released his debut album Freshly Baked in 2008 which included the hits "Back in the days" and "Gijima". The album was generally well received and garnered him a Channel O Music Video award nomination and win in the Best Hip Hop video for the aforementioned "Gijima". His sophomore offering, 2009's The Flipside has been positively reviewed in both his home country as well as neighbouring South Africa. Zeus currently splits his time between Gaborone, which is his hometown, and Johannesburg, South Africa.
