MTV Sound Trippin is a youth-based popular music television show on MTV India, part of the channel's strategy to place focus on original music. [1]

Format

The show follows Hindi film music director Sneha Khanwalkar, who travels to ten cities across the country to record unusual sounds and create ten songs, one for each place she visits, that capture the spirit of the places. [2] [3] [4] Many of the artists who record for the show "have never before recorded in a studio". [5]

Reception

The show has been well received. Amitava Sanyal of Hindustan Times called it a "remarkable experiment". [6] Sneha Mahadevan of DNA said that "The shoots, crisp edits, refreshingly new visuals take this show to a new level altogether". [7]

Sneha Khanwalkar is an Indian music director who works in Hindi films. She is best known for her score for the film, Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, and also for Gangs of Wasseypur Part 1, Part 2. She had been nominated in Best Music Director category at the 58th Filmfare Awards for Gangs of Wasseypur Part 1 & Part 2. She is only the second woman to gain a nomination in this category 28 years after Usha Khanna.

Kundra has also featured in films like Mubarakan, 1921 and Tera Kya Hoga Lovely. In 2021, he participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 15 and emerged as the 2nd runner-up.

Vyshonn King Miller, better known by his stage name Silkk the Shocker, is an American rapper and actor from New Orleans, Louisiana. The brother of Master P, he signed with his record label No Limit Records, an imprint of Priority Records to release his debut studio album, The Shocker (1996).
