MTV India is an Indian pay television channel specialising in music, reality and youth culture programming. It was launched in 1996 as the Indian version of MTV and is owned by Viacom18, a joint venture operation between MTV International owner Paramount Global and TV18. Most of the programming on the channel is produced in Hindi. [2] MTV India has its headquarters in Vile Parle in Mumbai.[ citation needed ]

In 2014, Viacom 18 launched Pepsi MTV Indies, an indie music and subculture channel in partnership with Pepsi Co. [3]

In 2016, MTV Indies was replaced by MTV Beats, a 24-hour music-only channel. After its launch, MTV India changed its focus on broadcasting reality series. [4]

VH1 India airs the international productions of MTV instead of airing them on MTV India, along with international music.

MTV Fully Faltoo Films

A series of spoof films under the banner of MTV Fully Faltoo Films were produced by MTV. The first film Ghoom, a spoof of the 2004 film Dhoom was released theatrically on 2 June 2006. [29] [30] Three more spoof films "Jadoo Ek Bar" (Jodhaa Akbar), "Bechaare Zameen Par" (Taare Zameen Par) and "Cheque De India" (Chak De! India) aired on MTV under "Fully Faltoo Film Festival" from 20 September 2008 to 4 October 2008. [31]

TMF was a 24-hour music channel operated by Viacom International Media Networks in the Netherlands. The channel was previously in every standard TV package, but it ceased operating on 1 September 2011. The channels operations were based in Amsterdam. The channel was previously known as TMF6 and TMF9.

Sajeed A is a Mumbai-based television producer, filmmaker and screenwriter, in addition to being a mastermind behind many hit series on MTV.

Nickelodeon is an Indian children's pay television network based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It is the Indian equivalent to the original American Network and is owned by Viacom18, a joint venture between Paramount Global and TV18. Despite using the "Nickelodeon" branding, it does not air any content from the original American network in recent times as part of a localisation strategy, and thus, original Nickelodeon content is only broadcast on the Nickelodeon HD+ channel. As of October 2020, Nickelodeon is the most watched children's channel in India.

Bigg Boss 11, also known as Bigg Boss 11: Padosi Bajayenge Barah, is the 11th season of Indian reality TV series Bigg Boss, which aired on Colors TV. Salman Khan returned to host the show for the 8th time. It premiered on 1 October 2017. The grand finale of the show took place on 14 January 2018 and Shilpa Shinde was announced as the winner while Hina Khan as the runner-up.

He has been instrumental in popularizing DJing as a profession and leading the music scene at the Sunburn Festival in its early years.
