Nickelodeon Poland (Polish : Nickelodeon Polska), also simply called Nick Poland, is a children's channel broadcasting in Poland. The channel broadcasts 24/7. All animated shows are dubbed into Polish and live-action Polish lector its from Nickelodeon's namesake American channel.
Before the Polish Nickelodeon channel, Nickelodeon aired as a 12-hour block on Fantastic from 1999 to 2001 but was closed after being deemed a failure on 1 July 2001.
In 2000, the programme "ME-TV" began to be published, it was developed by Nickelodeon Russia specifically for Poland. [1] [2]
On 10 July 2008, Nickelodeon returned in Poland as a full-time channel. On 1 March 2010, Nickelodeon Poland changed its logo and switched to Nickelodeon CEE. On 2 October 2012, Nickelodeon CEE again became Nickelodeon Poland. On 9 November 2021, Nickelodeon Poland started to broadcast on czech license, but have a few opt-outs, including nighttime Rodzina Zastępcza (Foster Family) marathons between 23:00-5:00 CET, and weekday events between 20:05-22:20 CET, in which Nick air Kally's Mashup (Zmiksowanej Kally), followed by Henry Danger (Niebezpieczny Henryk) and two episodes of The Loud House (Harmidom; which are shown on main feed between 21:00-21:55 CET). From June 1, 2023, the channel began using automatic subtitles in the promotion of programs, and also added Ukrainian language on this channel, in connection with the closing of the Pluto TV channel. [5] [6]
On August 1, 2023, the channel rebranded, which included an updated version of the logo and a new design.
On 6 June 2018, several episodes of The Loud House were banned from airing due to the complaint submitted to the Polish National Broadcasting Council by Ordo Iuris, a notable Catholic law office, [7] about the LGBT themes presented in the series, [8] [9] but are still available on streaming platforms such as SkyShowtime.
Poland does not legally recognize same-sex unions, either in the form of marriage or civil unions. In 2012, the Supreme Court ruled that same-sex couples have limited legal rights in regards to the tenancy of a shared household. A few laws also guarantee certain limited rights for unmarried couples, including couples of the same sex. Same-sex spouses also have access to residency rights under EU law.
Telewizja Polska S.A., also known in English as Polish Television, is a public service broadcaster in Poland, founded in 1952. It is the oldest and largest Polish television network. After 2015, when the right-wing populist Law and Justice (PiS) party won the Polish parliamentary election, TVP progressively aligned with the speaking points of the PiS government. In the run-up to the 2023 Polish parliamentary election, TVP was designated as a "propaganda arm" of PiS by European media and as "a factory of hate" by the Polish opposition. However, after the electoral victory of the opposition party the Civic Platform in 2023, a newly-appointed Minister of Culture began a restructuring of the broadcaster and its news segment. On December 27, 2023, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, due to the President's veto on the financing of the company, placed it in liquidation.

MTV Music 24 was a Pan-European music television channel operated by ViacomCBS Networks EMEAA. The channel was available in multiple countries across Europe. The programming consists of non-stop music videos 24-hours a day. The channel first launched in the Netherlands and Flanders in 2011. Since then the channel has rolled out across many parts of Europe including Germany and it is available in South Africa. In March 2020, the channel launched in Poland replacing the version of MTV Music Polska.
The Nick Jr. Channel, sometimes shortened to Nick Jr., is an American pay television channel spun off from Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. programming block and owned and operated by the Nickelodeon Group, a sub-division of the Paramount Media Networks division of Paramount Global. Launched on September 28, 2009 in the channel space previously held by Noggin, the channel primarily targets preschoolers and toddlers ages 2 to 6 years old. Its lineup features a mix of original programming, along with series from the Nick Jr. block; to avoid confusion between the two different entities, the separate channel has been identified on-air as the "Nick Jr. Channel" since March 2018 to the present day for promos and until September 2023 for the on-screen graphic.
