Comedy Central is a Polish channel focusing on the American counterpart, which was launched on 19 October 2006. [1] [2] It was the first channel outside the United States to use the Comedy Central name and the fourth channel launched by MTV Networks International in Poland. It broadcasts some local TV series and a variety of imported comedy programming, including older sitcoms such as The Cosby Show and newer series such as Sex and the City .

Since 2008 the channel broadcasts Polish shows like Włatcy móch , 1000 złych uczynków, Camera Café , Kasia i Tomek, Król przedmieścia and classic show Kariera Nikodema Dyzmy.

On 12 June 2012, Comedy Central Poland, together with its sister channel Comedy Central Family Poland, started broadcasting in 16:9 picture format.

In 2016, it was announced that Poland would return after an 11-year break. Włatcy móch is a Polish adult animated series, which aired on the Polish TV channel TV4 between November 2006 and December 2011. The title is a misspelling of "Władcy much" and derives from William Golding's novel Lord of the Flies. The story revolves around four 8-year-old boys in Grade IIB of the Batalion Zośka Elementary School in Wrocław: Anusiak, Konieczko, Maślana and Czesio. The show has a total of 127 regular and 2 special episodes, and a feature film also exists. The comedy won the 2008 Świry Award in category "TV Series".

Poland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Flashlight" written by Kasia Moś, Pete Baringger and Rickard Bonde Truumeel. The song was performed by Kasia Moś. The Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) organised the national final Krajowe Eliminacje 2017 in order to select the Polish entry for the 2017 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. The national final took place on 18 February 2017 and featured ten entries. "Flashlight" performed by Kasia Moś was selected as the winner after gaining the most points following the combination of votes from a five-member jury panel and a public vote.

Universal Channel was a Polish pay-tv-channel owned by NBCUniversal. It launched on 1 December 2007 and It was available on the platforms n, Cyfra+, Cyfrowy Polsat and cable networks UPC Polska, Multimedia Polska, Digital Vectra and Toya. After the merger of n and CYFRA+ to Nc+ the channel was removed from the offer of the new platform. On 12 March 2014 it returned to nc+ again.
