Colors Marathi (previously known as ETV Marathi) is a soon to be defunct Indian general entertainment channel that primarily broadcasts Marathi entertainment based in Maharashtra. It is owned by JioStar, but is scheduled to either divested or shut down as per the voluntarily conditions accepted by Star India Viacom18 during the merger process to form (reform) Star India Private Limited, by CCI

History

The channel was rebranded under the Viacom18 Colors franchise on 22 March 2015 with the tagline "Saaj Nava, Rang Nava" (translation: New Trappings, New Colour). It again rebranded itself on 27 July 2015 with a new tagline "Rang Marathi, Gandh Marathi" (translation: Colour Marathi, Fragrance Marathi). After that, it again rebranded itself in 2019 with the current tagline "Jagnyache Rang Marathi" (translation: Life's Colour is Marathi). [1] [2] Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they stopped their current programming on 21 March 2020 and resumed programming on 21 July 2020 after four months.

<i>Bigg Boss Marathi</i> season 5 Indian Marathi reality show

Bigg Boss Marathi 5 is the fifth season of Marathi version of reality television show Bigg Boss broadcast in India. The grand premiere was held on 28 July 2024 on Colors Marathi and JioCinema which recorded TRP of 2.4 TVR for grand premiere episode which is highest ever for grand premiere episodes of all 5 seasons of show along with TRP reaching up to 5 TVR which is highest ever rated season. Riteish Deshmukh hosted the show for the first time. The Grand Finale of the show took place on October 6, 2024, where Suraj Chavhan emerged as the winner, with Abhijeet Sawant as the runner-up.
