Maccreanor Lavington is a British architectural design firm with offices in Rotterdam and London, known for its work in housing, public buildings and regeneration.

The firm was formed in 1992 in Rotterdam by architects Gerard Maccreanor and Richard Lavington, [1] and currently employs around 40 architects in London, as well as around 40 architects overseas. [2]

In 2008, Accordia, which was also designed by Alison Brooks Architects and Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, became the first housing development to win the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Stirling Prize. [3]

In 2021, Maccreanor Lavington was nominated for Neave Brown Award for its Blackfriars Circus scheme in London. [4] The contract value of the project is £105m. Internal area is 39,467m².

The Amsterdam Metro is a rapid transit system serving Amsterdam, Netherlands, and extending to the surrounding municipalities of Diemen and Ouder-Amstel. Willem Marinus Dudok was a Dutch modernist architect. He was born in Amsterdam. He became City Architect for the town of Hilversum in 1928 where he was best known for the brick Hilversum Town Hall, completed in 1931. Not only did he design the building, but also the interior including the carpets, furniture and even the mayor's meeting hammer. He also designed and built about 75 houses, public buildings and entire neighborhoods.

Allies and Morrison LLP is an architecture and urban planning practice based in London and Cambridge. Founded in 1984, the practice is now one of Britain's largest architectural firms. The practice's work ranges from architecture and interior design to conservation and renovation of historic buildings to urbanism, planning, consultation and research. The firm's notable projects include the redevelopment of the Royal Festival Hall, the masterplan for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, BBC Media Village and the redevelopment of King's Cross Central. Royal Gold Medal

The Royal Gold Medal for architecture is awarded annually by the Royal Institute of British Architects on behalf of the British monarch, in recognition of an individual's or group's substantial contribution to international architecture. It is given for a distinguished body of work rather than for one building, and is therefore not awarded for merely being currently fashionable.

Grimshaw Architects is an architectural firm based in London. Founded in 1980 by Sir Nicholas Grimshaw, the firm was one of the pioneers of high-tech architecture. In particular, they are known for their design of transport projects including Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA railway station, Waterloo International railway station and the award-winning Southern Cross railway station which was the recipient of the Royal Institute of British Architects Lubetkin Prize. Grimshaw is behind the design of the Sustainability Pavilion, an innovative net-zero building, for Expo 2020. Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios is a British architectural design firm, established in 1978, with offices in Bath, London, Manchester, Belfast and Edinburgh. The firm is known for its pioneering work in sustainable design and social design agenda.

Accordia

Accordia is a housing development in Cambridge, England. The 9.5-hectare (23.5-acre) site includes 378 dwellings by Feilden Clegg Bradley Architects, Maccreanor Lavington and Alison Brooks Architects and has been constructed in three phases. The first phase of the development became the first housing development to win the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Stirling Prize in 2008.

Alison Brooks RDI is an architect whose practice, Alison Brooks Architects, is based in London. She has been described as the only architect in the UK to have received all three major RIBA awards: the RIBA Stirling Prize, Manser Medal and Stephen Lawrence Prize. Her designs include Smile, the Accordia Masterplan (Cambridge) and the first high-rise for the Greenwich Peninsula in London. In 2018 Brooks was invited to contribute to the Venice Architecture Biennale. In 2021, Brooks won the RIBA House of the Year award for House on the Hill.

Neave Brown was an American-born British architect and artist. He specialized in modernist housing. Brown is the only architect to have had all his UK work listed: row houses in Winscombe Street, the Dunboyne Road Estate and Alexandra Road Estate, all located in Camden.

Sadie Anna Morgan is an English designer. In 1995 she founded dRMM, the RIBA Stirling Prize winning architecture practice, with Alex de Rijke and Philip Marsh.

RIBA National Awards are part of an awards program operated by the Royal Institute of British Architects, also encompassing the Stirling Prize, the European Award and the International Award. The National Awards are given to buildings in the UK which are "recognised as significant contributions to architecture" which are chosen from the buildings to receive an RIBA Regional award.
