Maciej Roman Gdula (born 20 May 1977) is a Polish sociologist specializing in social theory and political theory, as well as opinion journalist and politician.
He is the son of Andrzej Gdula, deputy interior minister of the Polish People's Republic in the 1980s, and later adviser to President Aleksander Kwaśniewski.
Gdula obtained a PhD in sociology in 2006 at the Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology at the University of Warsaw. [1] There, in 2016 he received the postdoctoral degree in social sciences in the field of sociology and became an adjunct at the Institute of Sociology at the University of Warsaw. [2] [3]
For several years, he has been a member of the Stanisław Brzozowski Association, a non-profit organization coordinating the actions of Krytyka Polityczna . He was a member of the Association's Board (2005–2010), and a member of its Audit Committee (2010–2015). As an opinion journalist, he contributed to Krytyka Polityczna, as well as to Tok FM Radio morning broadcasts, of which he was a frequent guest. [4] [5] [6]
In 2017, he was the coordinator of a field study in Miastko, one of the poviat towns in Mazovia. The report of this study was considered by several sociologists the first authoritative diagnosis of the reasons for the victory of Law and Justice in the 2015 Polish parliamentary election. [7] [8] [9]
In May 2019, Gdula became an expert of the Spring party and the leader of its list in the European Parliament election, in the district covering the Lesser Poland and Świętokrzyskie voivodships, [10] [11] but did not win a seat. [12] In October 2019, he became member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. [13]

Edmund Wnuk-Lipiński was a Polish sociologist, political scientist, and writer. A professor of sociology, he was the founder and first head of the Polish Academy of Sciences' Institute of Political Studies, and rector of the Warsaw-based Collegium Civitas.

Krytyka Polityczna is a network of Polish left-wing intellectuals. The network is based around a journal of the same name founded by Sławomir Sierakowski in 2002, but is open to voices from across the political spectrum. The name draws on the tradition of Young Poland’s "Krytyka", a monthly magazine published by Wilhelm Feldman at the beginning of the 20th century, and on the samizdat "Krytyka" which served as a forum for opposition writers and journalists in the 1970s and 1980s.
Adam Wielomski is a professor at the University of Natural Sciences and Humanities in Siedlce, where he teaches in the Institute of Social Sciences and Security of the Faculty of Humanities. Wielomski is the author and co-author of several books on Spanish and French counter-revolutionary political thought. He is also the editor-in-chief of quarterly journal Pro Fide Rege et Lege and a columnist for Najwyższy Czas!.

Szymon Franciszek Hołownia is a Polish politician and television personality currently serving as Marshal of the Sejm since 13 November 2023. From 2008 to 2019 he co-hosted Mam talent!, the Polish version of Got Talent, together with Marcin Prokop. He was an independent presidential candidate in the 2020 elections, coming in third place in the first round of the elections. He is the leader of the Poland 2050 political party.
Presidential elections were held in Poland on 28 June 2020. As no candidate received a majority of the vote, a second round was held on 12 July, in which incumbent president Andrzej Duda, running with the support of Law and Justice, faced off against Civic Platform vice-chairman and Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski. In the second round Duda was re-elected for a second term with 51% of the vote, becoming the first incumbent to win re-election since Aleksander Kwaśniewski in 2000.

He is one of the co-founders of Gazeta Wyborcza, former General Director of Agora, founder and first editor-in-chief of Super Express, and one of founders of a right-wing anti-immigration website Euroislam.pl. He was also the president of two online businesses.
On Sunday 26 May 2019, a vote was held to elect the Polish delegation to the European Parliament. Polish voters elected 52 MEPs, compared to 51 in the 2014 election. The increased number of MEPs is a result of the 2018 reapportionment of seats in the European Parliament. Following the United Kingdom's announcement, that it will participate in elections to the European Parliament on May 23, Poland will continue to be represented by 51 MEPs. The 52nd MEP will take up their mandate immediately after the UK leaves the European Union. Following the announcement of the election results, the National Electoral Commission indicated Dominik Tarczyński from Lesser Poland and Świętokrzyskie will take up the 52nd seat.
The Left is a political alliance in Poland. Initially founded to contest the 2019 parliamentary election, the alliance now consists of the New Left and Left Together.
Magdalena Agnieszka Biejat is a Polish politician and translator of Spanish-language literature. She was a member of the Sejm for Warsaw I between 2019 and 2023, when she was elected to Senate for the 45th district. Since 13 November 2023 she is serving as a Deputy Marshal of the Senate. She is one of the co-leaders of Left Together and one of the leaders of The Left coalition.

The Roman Dmowski and Ignacy Jan Paderewski Institute for the Legacy of Polish National Thought is a Polish educational and historical research institute. Announced to appear at a press conference on 3 February 2020, it was formally inaugurated by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Piotr Gliński, on 17 February that year.

Dorota Zofia Olko is a Polish politician, sociologist, and political activist. She is a member of left-wing Lewica Razem and has served as party spokesperson since 2016. Member of Sejm since 2023.
