Madina Kazakova (born 16 June 1976) [1] is a Russian Paralympic judoka. In 2004, she won the gold medal in the women's 63 kg event at the 2004 Summer Paralympics held in Athens, Greece. [2] In the final, she defeated Silke Huettler of Germany. In 2008, she won one of the bronze medals in the same event at the 2008 Summer Paralympics held in Beijing, China. [1]

Nicaragua sent a delegation to compete at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7–18 September 2016. This was the Central American country's third appearance at the Summer Paralympic Games, having made its debut twelve years earlier at the 2004 Summer Paralympics. They were represented by three athletes, sprinter Jennifer Osejo, middle-distance runner and sprinter Gabriel Cuadra Holmann and powerlifter Fernando Acevedo, who all qualified for the games by achieving the minimum qualifying standard in international competition. Viktoriya Potapova is a Russian Paralympic judoka. She represented Russia at the Summer Paralympics in 2004, 2008 and 2012. She won a bronze medal on each occasion: in the women's 48 kg event in 2004, in the women's 48 kg event in 2008 and in the women's 48 kg event in 2012. Silke Huettler is a German Paralympic judoka. In 2004, she won the silver medal in the women's 63 kg event at the 2004 Summer Paralympics held in Athens, Greece. In the final, she lost against Madina Kazakova of Russia.

Dariusz Pender is a Polish wheelchair fencer. In 2000, he won the gold medal in the men's épée individual A event at the 2000 Summer Paralympics held in Sydney, Australia. He also won the silver medal in the men's foil team event. Pender also won medals at the Summer Paralympics in 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016.

Alesia Stepaniuk is a Russian Paralympic judoka. She won one of the bronze medals in the women's 52 kg event at the 2020 Summer Paralympics held in Tokyo, Japan. She competed at the Summer Paralympics under the flag of the Russian Paralympic Committee.
