Maduro Holding B.V. is the holding company of the Maduro Group, a Dutch Caribbean business with interests in shipping services, logistics, and real estate.
S.E.L. Maduro was founded in 1837 as a trading company between local Caribbean ports. Following the opening of the Panama Canal and the discovery of oil in the nearby Maracaibo Basin, the port of Willemstad became a regional energy hub. During World War II, Willemstad's port was the primary supplier of fuel to the Royal Air Force during the North African Campaign and it remains an important refining center. [1]
In 1916, Maduro and local financier Joseph Alvarez-Correa founded Maduro's Bank, the predecessor to Maduro & Curiel's Bank. [2]
Curaçao, officially the Country of Curaçao, is a Lesser Antilles island in the southern Caribbean Sea, specifically the Dutch Caribbean region, about 65 km (40 mi) north of Venezuela. It is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The music of Curaçao is known for typical waltzes, danzas, mazurkas and a kind of music called tumba, which is named after the conga drums that accompany it.
The Royal Bank of Trinidad and Tobago (RBTT) was a commercial bank based in Trinidad and Tobago and one of the largest commercial banking corporations in the Caribbean region. As of 2008 RBTT Holdings had a group asset base of over US$6.2 billion dollars. The RBTT group of companies operated several commercial banking businesses in other neighbouring islands, as well as various investment holdings in various parts of the Trinidad and Tobago economy. On 26 March 2008, RBTT Shareholders voted 98.18 percent in favour of selling the bank to the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), who previously had divested the bank in 1987. On 16 June 2008, RBC completed the acquisition. RBTT Financial Holdings Limited and RBC Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of RBC, will amalgamate and continue as a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of RBC. The head office of the Caribbean operations for RBC will be located at Port of Spain, the capital of Trinidad and Tobago, and the site of RBTT's headquarters.

Insel Air last served five destinations throughout the Caribbean, South America. Its fleet consisted of Fokker 50 aircraft. The airline had a hub in Hato International Airport in Curaçao.
The 2010 CFU Club Championship was the 12th edition of the CFU Club Championship, the annual international club football competition in the Caribbean region, held amongst clubs whose football associations are affiliated with the Caribbean Football Union (CFU). The history of the Jews in Curaçao can be traced back to the mid-17th century, when the first Jewish immigrants began to arrive. These immigrants founded Congregation Mikvé Israel-Emanuel, the oldest continuously used synagogue in the Americas. The first Jew to settle in Curaçao was a Dutch-Jewish interpreter named Samuel Cohen, who arrived on board a Dutch fleet in 1634. By the mid-1700s, the community was the most prosperous in the Americas and many of the Jewish communities in Latin America, primarily in Colombia and Venezuela, resulted from the influx of Curaçaoan Jews.
The Basilica of St. Anne It is a religious building that functions as Catholic Minor Basilica and at the same time as co-cathedral of the Diocese of Willemstad on the island of Curaçao in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Venezuela.
