Maha Ishaq Tahirani is a Pakistani super model and actress. [1] [2] She is known for winning 'Best Model of The Year' award at the Lux Style Awards 2023. [3] She has also acted in Jamun Ka Darakht movie featuring Adnan Siddiqui. [4]

Career

After completing her LLB degree from the University of London, Maha Tahirani came back to Pakistan to pursue a career in modelling. Her first modelling project was for Sana Safinaz. [5] Her first international shoot was held in Dubai. [6] In 2020, she was nominated for the 'Best Emerging Talent' award at the 19th Lux Style Awards. [7] In 2021, she was nominated for the female 'Model of the year' award at the 20th Lux Style Awards. [8] Next year, Maha was also nominated for 'Best Fashion Model of the year award'. [9] In 2023, she won the 'Best Fashion Model of the year' at the 22nd Lux Style Awards. [10] In the same year, she made her acting debut with Jamun Ka Darakht, a short film by Rafay Rashidi starring Adnan Siddiqui. [11] [12]

Biography

Born in Pakistan, Maha Tahirani pursued a degree in criminal law from the University of London at the age of 20. [13] After becoming a lawyer, she came back to Pakistan. She has been vocal about the issue of colorism, having turned down a fairness cream rebranding offer. [14] She has also called out brands for unethical practices of payment. [15]

Eman Suleman is a Pakistani model and actress. She started her modeling career in 2017 and since then appeared in ramps and advertisements. She is also known for her role as Yasmeen in Sarmad Khoosat's Aakhri Station (2018). In 2019, she receives nomination for Best Emerging Model at 18th Lux Style Awards. Eman is a vocal feminist and has endorsed causes such as students' rights and the MeToo movement.

The 18th Lux Style Awards presented by Lux to honor the best in fashion, music, films and 2018 in Pakistani television, took place on 7 July 2019 at Expo Center, Karachi, Sindh.

<i>Pyar Ke Sadqay</i> Pakistani romantic comedy television series

Pyar Ke Sadqay is a 2020 Pakistani drama television series that premiered on Hum TV on 23 January 2020. It is directed by Farooq Rind, written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and produced by Momina Duraid under MD Productions. It has Bilal Abbas and Yumna Zaidi in leads and Yashma Gill, Omair Rana and Atiqa Odho in supporting roles. The series received critical acclaim due to Rind's direction and Khan's performance as Abdullah. Pyar Ke Sadqay won the most awards at the 2021 Lux Style Awards, including Best Actor Critics for Khan and Best Actress Critics and Best Actress Popular both for Zaidi.

<i>Bakhtawar</i> Pakistani drama television series

Bakhtawar is a Pakistani drama television series directed by Shahid Shafaat and first broadcast on Hum TV from 17 July 2022. It is produced by Momina Duraid under banner MD Productions. It features Yumna Zaidi in the title role as a young headstrong girl who wants escape from her difficulties and create a better tomorrow for herself. It ended on 29 January 2023, after 25 episodes.

Azaan Sami Khan is a Pakistani music composer and actor. He is the son of musician Adnan Sami and actress Zeba Bakhtiar. Khan is known for composing music for some of Lollywood's hit films, including Parey Hut Love, Superstar and Parwaaz Hai Junoon. Some of his notable tracks from these films are Haye Dil, Noori and Ghalat Fehmi.
