The 19th Lux Style Awards presented by Lux to honor the best in fashion, music, films and Pakistani television of 2019, held digitally on 31 December 2020. The awards were held virtually due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world. [1]

The ceremony was directed by Feriha Altaf. [1] The ceremony was hosted by Ahmed Ali Butt and Mehwish Hayat. [2] [3] Ranjha Ranjha Kardi remained the most awarded television series while Laal Kabootar remained the most awarded film. [4] [5] [6]

Criticism

Despite winning for Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Writer and Best OST Ranjha Ranjha Kardi did not win Best TV Play because it was an audience voted category.

Laal Kabootar is a 2019 Pakistani action crime thriller film directed by Kamal Khan, produced by Hania Chima and Kamil Chima, and written by Ali Abbas Naqvi. Taha Malik is the music director while Danial Hyatt, son of Rohail Hyatt, provides the background score. The film features Ahmed Ali Akbar, Mansha Pasha, Rashid Farooqui, Raza Gillani, Syed Mohammad Ahmed, and Ali Kazmi. The film was released on 22 March 2019.

Faiza Iftikhar is a Pakistani writer, author, novelist and screenwriter. She is active in the Pakistani television industry and known for her romantic and social plays. Her popular plays include Dil Lagi, Aunn Zara, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi etc. Her writing for Ranjha Ranjha Kardi earned her Lux Style Award of Best TV Writer. Her recent projects are Bandhay Aik Dor Say, Pehli Si Muhabbat and Prem Gali. Furthermore, she wrote the screenplay of Lollywood movie Tich Button.
