The 20th Lux Style Awards presented by Lux to honor the best in fashion, music, films and Pakistani television of 2020, took place on 9 October 2021 in Karachi. [1]

The television broadcast was aired on Geo Entertainment on 21 November 2021. [2] The ceremony was hosted by Dino Ali and Ayesha Omar. Pyar Ke Sadqay remained the most awarded TV series by winning 4 awards. [3] [4]

Controversy

One of the Pakistan's biggest TV channels ARY Digital refused to submit any dramas to the LSAs. Many of the acclaimed dramas like Dushman e Jaan and Ghisi Piti Mohabbat did not get nominated due to ARY Digital's move.[ citation needed ] Plays from only two channels (Hum TV and Geo TV) ended up getting nominated.[ citation needed ]

Hiba Qadir better known as Hiba Bukhari is a Pakistani television actress. She is known for her role Seemal in the Hum TV's Thori Si Wafa (2017) for which she won the Hum Award for Best Soap Actress. She has also played leading roles in Deewangi (2019), Fitoor, Inteha e Ishq both (2021) and Meray Humnasheen (2022).

Ahad Raza Mir is a Canadian-Pakistani actor who mainly works in Urdu television. One of the leading television actor, Mir is a recipient of several accolades including three Hum Awards and one Lux Style Award.

<i>Pyar Ke Sadqay</i> Pakistani romantic comedy television series

Pyar Ke Sadqay is a 2020 Pakistani drama television series premiered on 23 January 2020 on Hum TV. It is directed by Farooq Rind, written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and produced by Momina Duraid under MD Productions. It has Bilal Abbas and Yumna Zaidi in leads while Yashma Gill, Omair Rana and Atiqa Odho in supporting roles. The series received critical acclaim due to Rind's direction and Khan's performance as Abdullah. Pyar Ke Sadqay won the most awards at the Lux Style Awards 2021 including Best Actor Critics for Khan and Best Actress Critics and Best Actress Popular both for Zaidi.

Shermeen Ali is a Pakistani actress, model and host. She is known for her roles in dramas Pyar Ke Sadqay, Tum Ho Wajah, Ruswai, Laut Ke Chalay Aana and Pardes.

Zanjabeel Asim Shah is a Pakistani screenwriter. She is known for writing scripts for television serials and working as head of content for several private network channels. She won the Pakistan International Screen Award for Best TV writer and was nominated three times for the Lux Style Awards.

Adnan Samad Khan is a Pakistani television actor. He is best known for the portrayal of Captain Gulzar in Hum TV's Ehd-e-Wafa for which he received Lux Style Award for Best Emerging Talent.
