The 9th Lux Style Awards ceremony was held in 2010 at the Expo Centre, Lahore, Pakistan. It honored the best film, television, music, and fashion achievements in the Pakistani entertainment industry. After the previous year's ceremony was cancelled in favour of a photo op with the award winners due to the prevailing security outlook in the country, the ceremony returned for the 9th edition of the awards. Humayun Saeed is a Pakistani actor and producer. Primarily known for his work on Pakistani television and cinema as an actor, he is the recipient of several accolades including Lux Style Awards, and ARY Film Awards. Saeed also runs the Six Sigma Plus media production house which produces television drama serials and commercial movies. Additionally, he has also worked in modeling and fashion designing.

The ceremony celebrates "style" in the Pakistani entertainment industry, such as cinema, television, fashion, music, sports and film industry. Categories have changed over the years, but most are awarded by panels of judges who are experts in the respective industries, with some "people's choice" awards in the film and TV categories.

Hayat had since starred in the comedies Punjab Nahi Jaungi (2017), Load Wedding (2018), and London Nahi Jaunga (2022), all of which rank among one of highest-grossing Pakistani films.

The programme was developed and led by Naheed Chowdhry, who co-created the concept with Frieha Altaf. Babar Javed is a Pakistani television and film producer and director. He has produced and directed series such as Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan, Qaid-e-Tanhai, Mera Saaein, Main Abdul Qadir Hoon, Aasmanon Pay Likha, Bashar Momin, Adhoora Bandhan, and Mor Mahal, all under his production company A&B Entertainment that he co-founded with actor turned filmmaker Asif Raza Mir. Javed has earned eight Lux Style Awards as a director and producer. In 2016, he received his first ARY Film Award nomination for the producing 2015 biopic film Manto.

During the ceremony, LUX presented the Lux Style Awards in four segments including Film, Fashion, Television, and Music. Actor in Law remained the most award-winning film with 4 awards while Udaari remained the most award-winning TV series by winning 3 awards.
The 19th Lux Style Awards presented by Lux to honor the best in fashion, music, films and Pakistani television of 2019, held digitally on 31 December 2020. The awards were held virtually due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world.
The 20th Lux Style Awards presented by Lux to honor the best in fashion, music, films and Pakistani television of 2020, took place on 9 October 2021 in Karachi.
