Mahesh Chandra Tripathi (born 21 June 1966) is an Indian Judge. He is currently serving as a Judge of Allahabad High Court. [1]

Life

Mahesh Chandra Tripathi pursued a law degree from Lucknow University (1990) and enrolled as an Advocate on Jan 11, 1992. He majorly practiced on the Civil side. He served as the Additional Chief Standing Counsel, State of Uttar Pradesh and was the counsel for Kanpur Nagar Nigam, Kanpur Development Authority, Agra Development Authority, Uttar Pradesh Food and Essential Commodities Corporation Limited (UPSFECC), Moradabad Development Authority and Kumaun University.[ citation needed ]

He was elevated to Additional Judge on Sep 27, 2013. He took oath as Permanent Judge on Apr 10, 2015. [2]

Surti Narayan Mani Tripathi, also known as S.N.M. Tripathi and Pandit Tripathi (1900–1988), was an Indian civil servant and later a politician from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. He was the first ICS of Uttar Pradesh and the founder president of Gorakhpur University. He served as a Member of the Legislative Council from Uttar Pradesh twice, first from 1967 to 1968 and in the second term from 1974 to 1977. He served as the Vice Chancellor of Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya and played an important role in establishment of Gorakhpur University.
