Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury is a Jatiya Party (Ershad) politician and the former Member of Parliament of Chittagong-15. He was the first mayor of Chittagong City Corporation. [1]
Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury was elected to parliament from Chittagong-15 as a Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate in 1979 Bangladeshi general election [2] He was elected to parliament from Chittagong-15 as a Jatiya Party candidate in 1986 and 1988. [3] [4]
The Jatiya Sangsad,often referred to simply as the Sangsad or JS and also known as the House of the Nation,is the supreme legislative body of Bangladesh.
