Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury is a Jatiya Party (Ershad) politician and a former member of parliament for Chittagong-15. He was the first mayor of Chittagong City Corporation. [1]
Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury was elected to parliament from Chittagong-15 as a Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate in the 1979 Bangladeshi general election [2] He was elected to parliament from Chittagong-15 as a Jatiya Party candidate in 1986 and 1988. [3] [4]
