Mail Dominance is the seventh studio album by the American rapper Esham, released in 1999. [2]
AllMusic wrote that "Unfortunately, on Mail Dominance it's not his delivery or flow that seems questionable but rather his lyrics and the production. When not rapping about nihilistic themes, Esham struggles to find engaging lyrics; here he's best when he raps indecipherably." [3] The Village Voice thought that "it’s intermittently irritating or annoying—the production is mega-chintzy, and boy does he hate women (hook of 'Ozonelayer': 'You bitch/you bitch/you bitch you bitch you bitch you bitch you bitch')—but it doesn’t get anywhere near boring, or overfamiliar." [4] The Windsor Star opined that the album "provides more musical variety than most radio stations, with rap, dance, rock and even corny '50s- sitcom-influenced tracks." [5]

Recorded in Ferndale, Michigan following Eminem's recruitment by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, the album features production from Eminem himself, alongside Dr. Dre and the Bass Brothers. Featuring West Coast hip hop, G-funk, and horrorcore musical styles, the majority of The Slim Shady LP's lyrical content was written from the perspective of Eminem's alter ego, named Slim Shady, whom he introduced on his 1997 extended play Slim Shady EP. The album contains cartoonish depictions of violence and heavy use of profanity, which Eminem described as horror film-esque, in that it is solely for entertainment value. Reel Life Productions, also known as Gothom Records, is an independent record label based in Detroit, Michigan most associated with the hip hop subgenre horrorcore. The label was founded in 1989 by James H. Smith and his younger brother, rapper Esham. Since its formation, RLP had released much of Esham's discography, and had been home to a number of other artists, including Natas, Dice, Mastamind, T-N-T and The Dayton Family.

Insane Clown Posse performs a style of hardcore hip hop known as horrorcore and is known for its elaborate live performances. The duo has earned two platinum and five gold albums. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the entire catalog of the group had sold 6.5 million units in the United States and Canada as of April 2007. The group has established a dedicated following called Juggalos numbering in the "tens of thousands".
