MayBulk Berhad (formerly Malaysian Bulk Carriers Berhad, trading as MYX : 5077) is a Malaysian public shipping company headquartered in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. It is primarily involved in owning, operating, and managing a fleet of dry bulk carriers and product tankers for international shipping. The company also provides ship management services and operates a container depot and a shelving & storage solutions business. [3]

History

The company was incorporated on 19 November 1988 and became the vehicle for a collaboration between the Kuok Group and Global Maritime Ventures Berhad, a marine venture capital investment company funded by the Malaysian government through Bank Industri & Teknologi Malaysia Berhad. [4]

On 2 December 2003, Malaysian Bulk Carriers Berhad was listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia. [5]

In January 2024, the company officially changed its name to MayBulk Berhad. [6]

Operations

MayBulk operates a fleet of dry bulk carriers of various sizes including Handysize, Supramax, and Post-Panamax vessels, as well as several product tankers. It also provides ship management services and engages in the design and installation of industrial shelving and storage systems. [7]
