"Irresistible" is a song by American recording artist Jessica Simpson that Columbia Records released in 2001, as the lead single from her second studio album of the same name. Its title and concept were proposed by singer-songwriter Pamela Sheyne, while Arnthor Birgisson, an acquaintance of Sony chief executive officer Tommy Mottola, and his partner Anders Bagge developed the melody and co-wrote the verses with Sheyne. Born and raised in London, she began her career on stage, aged 11, with a role in the West End musical Whistle Down the Wind. Written by Jessica Cornish, Farrah "Fendi" Fleurimond, Martin Kleveland, Natalie Walker and produced by Martin K, "Casualty of Love" was released digitally on 22 February 2011, as the only promotional single from the album, as part of the iTunes Store's.

The song was written by Jessie J, Claude Kelly and Andre Brissett, and it was produced by Brissett and Kelly, and refers to a struggle about perfection complex and regret over past indiscretions.
