The Old Mutual Mangaung Cup is an annual pre-season association football tournament. The cup is sponsored by Old Mutual Emerging Markets, a Licensed Financial Services Provider. [1]

The 1999–2000 Premier Soccer League, known as the 1999–2000 Castle Premiership for sponsorship purposes, was the fourth season of the Premier Soccer League since its establishment in 1996. The season began on 30 July 1999 and ended on 4 June 2000. Mamelodi Sundowns once again managed to secure their crown, sealing their third successive PSL title. Along with their success in the PSL's predecessor - winning three National Soccer League titles in 1988, 1990 and 1993 - this gave Mamelodi Sundowns their 6th South African championship. Sundowns tallied 75 points for the season, equalling the points record they jointly set with Kaizer Chiefs last season, but unlike the previous season in which the title was decided by goal difference, there was no close title race this season as Sundowns finished comfortably ahead of second placed Orlando Pirates with an 11-point margin.

The 2010 MTN 8 was the 36th edition of this annual knock out tournament. The tournament was won by Orlando Pirates, who beat Moroka Swallows on penalties in the final. The trophy was Orlando Pirates' first major cup win in ten years. It was contested by the eight top teams from the Premier Soccer League table at the end of the 2009–10 season. The tournament began on 20 August 2009, and ended on 2 October 2010. The quarter finals were played as single matches, while the semi-finals are played over two legs. The final was played at the neutral Moses Mabhida Stadium.

It was the 21st tournament, and the 7th under the Telkom Knockout name. The tournament is effectively South Africa's league cup, as entry is open only to clubs in the top league. The cup is usually played in the first half of the season. The tournament began on 17 October and ended on 1 December 2012.
