Manifest is an unincorporated area in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. It is home to Alexander Cemetery where local judge, newspaper publisher, and political leader James G. Taliaferro is buried along with his wife. Manifest is home to a fire station. State Representative Representative Grover C. Womack (born August 27, 1909) was from Manifest.

Heard Cemetery and Alexander Cemetery are among the four small cemeteries in the area. Alexander Cemetery includes many members of the Taliaferro family as well as an addition for African Americans. [1]

James Govan Taliaferro was a lawyer, newspaper publisher, and judge in Louisiana. In 1860 he owned 27 slaves and a plantation valued at $87,000. As the secession movement grew he remained a staunch Unionist and was held for some time in a Confederate prison during the American Civil War.

J. C. "Sonny" Gilbert Wildlife Management Area is a 7,524-acre (3,045 ha) wildlife management area in Catahoula, Parish, Louisiana, owned by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. It is located 6 miles (9.7 km) miles west of Sicily Island. The area contains the 17 ft (5.2 m) high Rock Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in the state.
