Manoranjan Dyan Samantara is an Indian politician. He was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly from 2024,representing Chikiti as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. [1] [2] [3]
The Bharatiya Janata Party is a political party in India and one of the two major Indian political parties alongside the Indian National Congress. BJP was born out from Syama Prasad Mukherjee's Bharatiya Jana Sangh. Since 2014,it has been the ruling political party in India under the incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) is a regional political party in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir union territory and Ladakh. Founded as the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference by Sheikh Abdullah and Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas in 1932 in the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir,the organisation renamed itself to National Conference in 1939 in order to represent all the people of the state. Before 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections,he was made state president of the BJP,and after the victory of BJP,he was appointed Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in the first Yogi Adityanath Government. Maurya again contested the legislative assembly elections in 2022 from Sirathu Assembly constituency,losing to Pallavi Patel of Samajwadi Party. However,he was given a second term as Deputy CM in the second Yogi Adityanath government.

The turnout for the election was 66.05%,the highest since 1995. The BJP-led Maha Yuti alliance won a landslide victory,winning 235 seats. None of the parties in the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance won the necessary number of seats to obtain the position of leader of opposition,a first in six decades.

Local elections were held in the Indian state of Gujarat in 2021. Elections were held for 8,235 seats,with 237 seats having only one unopposed candidates. No form was filled for two seats in Taluka panchayat. The elections included six municipal corporations where elections took place in February —Ahmedabad,Surat,Vadodara,Rajkot,Bhavnagar and Jamnagar –and one (Gandhinagar) in which the elections were held on 3 October. Results to Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation were declared on 5 October 2021.
