Mansehra International Public School and College (MIPS), is a private high school in Mansehra, Pakistan. It was founded in 1995 by Engr Sher Afzal Khan Swati. The school is situated, about 3400 feet above sea level, close to the Abbottabad Road in the middle of the Government Food Godown. The area where the school is situated was devastated by the 2005 Kashmir earthquake on 8 October 2005. [1] [2]

Administration

The school is administrated by Sher Afzal Khan Swati and Faisal Khan Swati. It is divided into sections for boys and girls. Both the school and the college provide boarding. There are over 750 students studying in the school and 400 in the college. Of these, 45 children receive full financial support from the institution. The faculty consists of 50 staff. [3]

The institution is self-governing under a board of governors. The Government Allotted Registration No is 1279 as a Permanent Recognized Education Department. [4]

Academic aspects

The teaching medium is English and emphasis is laid on both the national language and English which are compulsory subjects throughout the course. [4] The school and college prepare students for the Mansehra educational board examinations, as well as the F.Sc Intermediate and Matriculation examinations. [3]

Political leaders are the guest of honour at the school's annual prize giving.

Facilities

The school estate covers an area of 35 kanals. There are facilities for sport and extracurricular activities.

Farming is only way of earning but due to hilly area and weather conditions its not fulfill requirements of area.

Battagram Tehsil is an administrative subdivision (Tehsil) of the Battagram District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It serves as the Tehsil headquarters and covers a total area of 300 square miles (780 km2). Battagram Tehsil merged into Pakistan as an administrative region before being raised to the status of a district in 1993. On October 8, 2005, a 7.6 magnitude earthquake in Kashmir badly affected the area.

Frontier Medical College

Frontier Medical College (FMC) is medical teaching institution and one of several medical schools affiliated to Bahria University. Located in Abbottabad of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan.The college grants the degrees Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) after completion of 5 years of medical training. Besides that, there are nursing and several para-medical courses. FMC has approximately 700 students in the MBBS and BDS programs.

Azam Khan Swati

Azam Khan Swati is a Pakistani politician and a businessman who served as the Federal Minister for Science and Technology and member of Senate of Pakistan from 2006 to 2011. He is the elected senior vice president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Swati, during his stay in the United States, owned a chain of stores, was a member of Pakistani American Congress, played important role in high-profile charity events. He was born in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. He joined the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam. Azam Khan Swati resigned from the Senate and the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam, on Saturday 17 December 2011, joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Swati had pursued the Hajj corruption case in the Supreme Court relentlessly, which ultimately forced the government to sack former religious affairs minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi. In 2018 Senate election he was again elected as a senator on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ticket. He has served as Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs from 18 April 2019 to 6 April 2020 in cabinet of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Khawajgan (خواجڴان;) is a Pashtun community in northern Pakistan. It is located in Mansehra District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, about 45 kilometers east of the Indus River and 156 kilometers from Islamabad, in the lower Pakhal Valley. It is the de facto headquarters of the Swati tribe and the second most populous village in the Pakhal Valley.

Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Abbottabad Examination board in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Abbottabad, more commonly known as BISE Abbottabad, is an intermediate and secondary education governmental board located in Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is authorized with financial and administrative authority to organize, manage, regulate, develop and control intermediate and secondary education in general and accomplish examinations in the institutions affiliated with it. BISE Abbottabad came into being as a result of the break-up of Peshawar Board in 1990 under the North West Frontier Province Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act 1990. The organisation building is located on Murree Road, Abbottabad.

Ihsan Ali Pakistani archaeologist

Ihasan Ali is a Pakistani archaeologist. He served as Vice-Chancellor of Hazara University from 2006 to 2009 and Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan from 2009 to 2017. He has also served as Additional Vice-Chancellor of Islamia College University Peshawar. Dr. Ihsan Ali is a researcher, academic and administrator who has served in various fields. He is currently facing charges of making illegal staff appointments while he was leading Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.

Government Post Graduate College (GPGC), Mansehra is public sector college located in Mansehra of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan. The college offers programs for intermediate level both in Arts and Science groups for which it is affiliated with Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Abbottabad. The college also offers 4 years BS programs in various disciplines for which it is affiliated with Hazara University.
