Manuela Bezzola (born 12 August 1989) is a Swiss taekwondo practitioner. [1] She defeated Chinese Taipei's Yang Shu-Chun for the gold medal in the women's 51 kg division at the 2009 Summer Universiade in Belgrade, Serbia. [2] She also captured a bronze medal in the bantamweight division (53 kg) at the 2010 European Taekwondo Championships in St. Petersburg, Russia. [3]
Bezzola qualified for the women's 49 kg class at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, after placing second in the European Qualification Tournament in Istanbul, Turkey. [4] She lost the preliminary round of sixteen match to Charlotte Craig of the United States. [5] [6]

Kyriaki Kouvari is a Greek taekwondo practitioner. She won the bronze medal for the heavyweight category at the 2003 World Taekwondo Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.
Sibel Güler Sağır is a Turkish taekwondo practitioner. She is a four-time medalist and two-time defending champion at the European Taekwondo Championships since 2004. She also claimed the middleweight division title at the 2005 Summer Universiade in Izmir, but won a silver medal at the 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand, losing out to Chinese Taipei's Lin An-Ni in the final match.

Abd Rabo qualified for the women's heavyweight class (+67 kg) at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, after winning the championship title from the African Qualification Tournament in Tripoli, Libya. She lost the preliminary round of sixteen match to Norway's Nina Solheim, with a score of 3–9. Because her opponent advanced further into the final match, Abd Rabo took advantage of the repechage round by defeating Malaysia's Che Chew Chan. She progressed to the bronze medal match, but narrowly lost the medal to Great Britain's Sarah Stevenson, with a score of 1–5.
Doris Esmid Patiño Marín is a Colombian taekwondo practitioner. She won a silver medal for the 57 kg class at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, losing out to Mexico's Irma Contreras. She later followed that up with a bronze medal four years later at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada.
Gladys Alicia Mora Romero is a Colombian taekwondo practitioner. She is a two-time Olympian, and a four-time medalist at the Pan American Taekwondo Championships. She also won a bronze medal for the 51 kg class at the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games in Cartagena, Colombia.

Leonardo Basile is an Italian taekwondo practitioner. In 2005, Basile had won two bronze medals for the over-84 kg class at the World Taekwondo Championships in Madrid, Spain, and at the Summer Universiade in Izmir, Turkey. He also captured a silver medal in the same division at the 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand, and eventually defeated Slovenia's Ivan Trajkovic for the gold at the 2012 European Taekwondo Championships in Manchester, England. Basile is a member of the taekwondo team for Centro Sportivo Esercito, and is coached and trained by Yoon Soon-Cheul.
Levent Tuncat is a German taekwondo practitioner of Turkish descent. He won three gold medals for the 54 and 58 kg classes at the European Taekwondo Championships.
Daniel Manz is a German taekwondo practitioner. He won a silver medal for the 68 kg division at the 2008 European Taekwondo Championships in Rome, Italy. Manz is also the husband of two-time Olympic taekwondo jin Sümeyye Gülec.
Turkey competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016. Since the nation's debut in 1908, Turkish athletes have appeared in every edition of the Summer Olympic Games, except for three occasions. Turkey failed to register any athletes at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, did not attend the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles at the period of worldwide Great Depression, and also joined the United States-led boycott, when Moscow hosted the 1980 Summer Olympics. The Turkish team consisted of 103 athletes, 55 men and 48 women, across twenty-one sports.
Cristiana Corsi was an Italian taekwondo practitioner, who competed in the women's featherweight category. Considered one of Italy's top taekwondo players of her decade, Corsi obtained a total of nine medals in her sporting career, including a gold at the 2002 European Championships in Samsun, Turkey, and a silver in the 59-kg division at the 2003 Summer Universiade in Daegu, South Korea. Corsi was also selected to compete for the Italian taekwondo squad in two editions of the Olympic Games, where she obtained a fifth-place finish in the women's featherweight category (57 kg) on each edition. Throughout her sporting career, Corsi trained for Rome Taekwondo Centre in her native Rome under Korean-born head coach and master Park Young-Gil.
