Maple Mountain High School is a public high school in Spanish Fork, Utah, United States that serves the Spanish Fork and Mapleton areas.

Organization

The school is managed by the Nebo School District. It educates over 1,600 students and enrolls upwards of 500 students in each grade. [1] The school was founded in 2009.

Athletics

Maple Mountain participates in sports sanctioned by the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA). The school competes in Region 9 of class 5A. The following sports are offered:

Maple Mountain's school colors are maroon and gold with forest green highlights, and their mascot is the Golden Eagle.

George Henry Brimhall was president of Brigham Young University (BYU) from 1904 to 1921. After graduating from Brigham Young Academy (BYA), Brimhall served as principal of Spanish Fork schools and then as district superintendent of Utah County schools, finally returning to BYU. In April 1904, Brimhall became president of the school, which had become BYU in October 1903. As president of BYU, Brimhall helped institute the collegiate program, departments for specific subjects, and an emphasis on religious learning.

Max Hall is a former American football quarterback, who played in both the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). After playing college football for BYU, he was signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2010. Hall played in a total of six NFL games for the Cardinals. Hall spent 2012 as an assistant coach for BYU. He then played the 2013 CFL season for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

He has been the head football coach at Brigham Young University (BYU) since December 2015, and is the first Tongan to become a collegiate football head coach. Sitake played college football as a fullback at BYU under coach LaVell Edwards, and graduated in 2000. Prior to becoming head coach at BYU, Sitake was the defensive coordinator and associate head coach at the University of Utah, and the defensive coordinator and associate head coach at Oregon State University.
