Maqsood Rana, (born 1 August 1972) is a former Pakistani cricketer who played single One Day Internationals for Pakistan in 1990. He is a son of former Pakistani cricket umpire Shakoor Rana and brother of Mansoor Rana, Azmat Rana was his uncle. [1]

In February 2021, he began to undertake coaching courses with the Pakistan Cricket Board. [2]

Azmat Rana, (3 November 1951 – 30 May 2015) was a Pakistani cricketer who played in one Test match and two One Day Internationals in 1980.

Mansoor Rana, is a former Pakistani cricketer who played two One Day Internationals. Despite scoring more than 12,000 runs in first-class cricket, he was unable to break into his country's Test cricket side, due to the presence of Javed Miandad, Salim Malik and others. He is one cricket coach who has won domestic trophies as a coach for Lahore, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited. Later, he was appointed as the head coach for Pak u19s cricket team that won the World cup in 2006 in Srilanka. Then he coached Pakistan Woman's Team and led them to win their first Gold Medal in the Asian Games 2010 in China. He is currently serving as the manager of the Pakistan Cricket Team.

Shakoor Rana was a Pakistani cricketer and umpire. He stood in 18 Test matches, including one in 1987, where his public row with England captain Mike Gatting led to the match being disrupted.

The Pakistan national cricket team toured Australia in the 1989–90 season, under the captaincy of Imran Khan. The series set a Pakistan team, regarded as one of the strongest in the world against an Australian team returning from an unexpectedly successful tour of England. The series was marred by a series of incidents and conflicts, including a walk off by the Pakistani players during a tour match against Victoria in protest at an umpire's ruling. The three Test series was won by Australia 1–0.
