PEC Zwolle is a Dutch professional football club based in Zwolle, Netherlands. They play in the Eerste Divisie, the second tier of Dutch football, but will play in the Eredivisie from the 2023–24 season following promotion. They have played in the Eredivisie for a total of 22 seasons, reaching sixth place in 2015. They won the KNVB Cup in 2014 and also reached the final in 1928, 1977 and 2015.

The Vrouwen Eredivisie, also known as the Azerion Eredivisie Vrouwen due to a 3 year sponsor contract starting from the 2022–2023 season, is the highest women's football league in the Netherlands. Organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) it was established in 2007 as a professional league and played for five seasons until 2012 when the leagues of the Netherlands and Belgium merged forming a single combined league. After three seasons the BeNe League folded and the Eredivisie was restarted in the 2015–16 season. The league winner receives a spot in the UEFA Women's Champions League.
Derk Boerrigter is a retired Dutch footballer, who played most of his career as a winger. He began his professional career with Ajax, but did not make any first team appearances and was eventually loaned to Haarlem. He then played for FC Zwolle and RKC Waalwijk before rejoining Ajax. His final stint was for Celtic, joining the team in 2013 and playing there until retiring following the 2016 season.
Kamohelo Mokotjo is a South African professional soccer player who plays as a defensive midfielder for Sekhukhune United. After beginning his career in his native South Africa, he came to prominence in the Netherlands with FC Twente and later played in England for Brentford and in the United States for FC Cincinnati.
