Marcela Trujillo (Santiago de Chile, 1969), better known by her pseudonym Maliki, [1] is a Chilean visual artist, painter, cartoonist [2] and professor who has dabbled mainly in figurative art, [3] and neo-pop. [4] She is also one of the first exponents of Chilean autobiographical comics. [5]
Trujillo studied fine arts at the University of Chile, and later at the Art Students League of New York, in New York City, and the School of Visual Arts in the same city. [6]
She uses mixed techniques in works of variable size. [7] Although she does not define herself as a militant of any feminist group, she acknowledges that in her pictorial work, it is possible to find this discourse, particularly in themes related to the defense of women's rights such as "the need to understand (...) [her] reality as a woman in this society". [8] Trujillo's pictorial work has focused on representing allegories of "female heroines in a futuristic perspective". [9]
She published her first comics in the Chilean adult comics magazine Trauko (1989) and while living in New York City, she published her series "Maliki 4 ojos" in the weekly The Clinic (2002/2003). [10] As a cartoonist, she published her comics in the newspaper El Desconcierto (2013) and in the online magazine Había una vez (2014/2015). She has been invited to numerous comic book festivals and events related to the dissemination of graphic storytelling (Caracas Book Fair, Venezuela, 2009; Latin American Comic Symposium, Stanford University, 2011; Comicópolis, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2013; Lima en cuadritos, Lima, Peru, 2013).

Gloria Camiruaga was a Chilean videographer born in Santiago, whose art later became documentary in style. She was one of the first female videographers in Chile. Her work focused on the depiction of political corruption and social issues in Chile from the perspective of women. Her work was political, focusing on the political unrest in Chile such as the coup d'état of the 1970s. She has worked on numerous solo projects and with other artists in collaboration.

Agustina Gutiérrez Salazar was a Chilean painter and draftsman. She was the first student of the Painting Academy and the first teacher of plastic arts in her country. She obtained an important public recognition for her work as a portraitist of women of the high society of Valparaíso, according to what was reflected in the press of his time.
Rodrigo Salvador Salinas Marambio, also known as Guatón Salinas, is a Chilean cartoonist, writer, actor and comedian, well-known for being one of the founders of the art collective La Nueva Gráfica Chilena and for being a singer-songwriter, director, and voice actor of the children's program 31 Minutos. He is also part of the cast of the comedy space El club de la comedia.
Carlos Francisco Leppe Arroyo was notable as a Chilean performance artist. Carlos Leppe's artistic career began with conventional plastic media, but he is recognised as a major exponent, and the originator, of performance art in Chile. The practice of performance art is also known in Chile as 'art actions'. Leppe used his own body in an artistic practice born of the tension between personal self-identity and the cultural expectations which regulate social behaviour. He was a key figure in the neo-avant-garde ‘Advanced Scene’, which included—among others—the artists Carlos Altamirano, Juan Castillo, Juan Domingo Dávila, Alfredo Jaar and Lotty Rosenfeld, and the writers Diamela Eltit and Raúl Zurita.

Academy of Painting, also known as the School of Fine Arts of Santiago, was a Chilean art school, founded on March 17, 1849 in Santiago, Chile. The school produced many works for the Chilean National Museum of Fine Arts, where it once was located. In 1932, it merged with and is now known as the Department of Visual Arts within the Arts Faculty, University of Chile.
Lucía Ximena Cristi Moreno was a Chilean post-impressionist and figurative expressionist painter. Alongside the artists Olga Morel and Aída Poblete, she is recognized for her work to convey "the worlds and perspectives of feminine expression."
