Foo Fighters is an American rock band formed in Seattle in 1994. Foo Fighters was initially formed as a one-man project by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. Following the success of the 1995 eponymous debut album, Grohl recruited a band consisting of Nate Mendel, William Goldsmith (drums), and Pat Smear (guitar). After a succession of lineup changes, including the departures of Goldsmith and Smear, the band formed its core lineup in 1999, consisting of Grohl, Mendel, Chris Shiflett (guitar), and Taylor Hawkins (drums). Kylie is the debut studio album by Australian recording artist Kylie Minogue, released on 4 July 1988 by Mushroom Records. Minogue had established herself as a child actress before signing to the record label in early 1987. X is the tenth studio album by Australian singer Kylie Minogue. EMI Music Japan released it first in Japan on 21 November 2007, before its release in Australia by Warner Music Australia two days later. Kylie and Garibay is the eponymous second extended play (EP) by musical duo Kylie and Garibay. It was released on 11 September 2015 by Parlophone and Warner Bros. Records and served as a sequel to Kylie and Garibay's first collaboration, Sleepwalker (2014). Produced by American producer Fernando Garibay and Italian disc jockey (DJ) Giorgio Moroder, the three-track EP was developed between February and August 2015, shortly after Kylie Minogue's departure from Parlophone and American-based management Roc Nation. Musically, it is influenced by electronica, ambient house, and, after Minogue's departure, reggae and dancehall. Its lyrical content completes a story arc that began in their previous EP, going from loss to recovery.
"Every Day's Like Christmas" is a song by Australian recording artist Kylie Minogue, taken from her thirteenth studio album and first Holiday album, Kylie Christmas (2015). It was written by Chris Martin, the frontman of the British alternative rock band, Coldplay and Stargate, who also produced. Martin also sings the backing vocals of the song. The song is an electropop ballad where Minogue describes her compassion towards her partner on Christmas Day. It contains elements of modern electronic music and Christmas music. A remix version by Stock Aitken Waterman was released as the third single from the album on 2 December 2015.
The Rockin'1000 is a musical project, originally created in Italy. Over a thousand musicians play and sing simultaneously at their concerts, with setlists composed mainly from well known rock music from different decades. The group was originally assembled in July 2015 as a way to ask the Foo Fighters to visit the town of Cesena, Italy. Originally organized in a crowdfunding effort by Fabio Zaffagnini, the Rockin'1000 have made several subsequent appearances, and have been dubbed the "biggest band in the world". Their initial performance in 2015 was made under the direction of Marco Sabiu.
