Mereles’ early short films have been screened in festivals like Nashville Film Festival, [1] Cleveland Film Festival, [2] East End Film Festival, [3] Fantasia Film Festival, [4] among others.

He was nominated for a Méliès d'Argent at the 33rd Imagine Film Festival for his short film De Dode Spreekt. [5]

His feature debut, All Is Vanity, premiered at the 65th BFI London Film Festival. [6] [7] The film had a limited theatrical release in the United Kingdom in 2022. [8] [9]
