Marcus Baur

Marcus Baur (born 10 May 1971) is a German former yacht racer who competed in the 2000 Summer Olympics and in the 2004 Summer Olympics [1] and a trained architectural engineer.

After his active sports career, he developed and managed various companies and developed innovative products as an executive (among others Sailtracks, SAP Sailing Analytics, Sailing Team Germany, Sail Insight, Goalscape Management Software) and acted as an executive producer of the Olympic Sailing World Cup. He is also a member of the Olympic Channel Commission of the International Olympic Committee.[ citation needed ]

Thomas James Anderson was an Australian sailor and Olympic champion. He competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, where he received a gold medal in the dragon class, together with crew members John Cuneo and John Shaw. He was the twin brother of John Anderson.

Jennifer Margaret Armstrong is an Olympic sailor from New Zealand. After competing for her native country at the 1992 Olympics, she moved to Australia in 1996 and won a historic sailing gold for her adopted country at the 2000 Olympics.

Sailing/Yachting is an Olympic sport starting from the Games of the 1st Olympiad. With the exception of 1904 and possibly the cancelled 1916 Summer Olympics, sailing has always been included on the Olympic schedule. Sailing at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London was held 29 July – 11 August 2012 at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy in Weymouth. The 2012 sailing program consisted of a total of ten events. Eleven fleet races were scheduled off the coast at Weymouth Bay for each event, except for the 49er and the Elliott 6m classes. For the 49er class, a total of 16 races were scheduled. Of the 11 (16) races, 10 (15) were scheduled as opening races and the last one as medal race. For the Elliott 6m a series of match races was scheduled. The sailing was done on different types of courses.

He represented Germany, along with his partner Frithjof Kleen in the Star class at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and also captured a silver medal at the 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships in Perth, Australia. Stanjek has also been training throughout most of his sporting career for the North German Sailing Regatta in Hamburg under his personal coach Alan Smith. As of November 2014, Stanjek is ranked eighth in the world for the two-person keelboat by the International Sailing Federation, following his first-place effort at the ISAF World Cup Series and Star World Championship in Malcesine, Italy.

Thomas Auracher is a German sailor who competed in the 2000 Summer Olympics in the star class finishing 12th overall. He has won a total of five World championships in sailing in the Tempest and 5.5 metre.

Ralph Hamilton Roberts was a New Zealand sailor and sports administrator.

Johannes Sebastian Polgar is a German sailor, who specialized in the multihull (Tornado) and keelboat Star) classes. Together with his partner Florian Spalteholz, he was named one of the country's top sailors in the mixed multihull catamaran for the 2008 Summer Olympics, finishing in eighth place. After the Games, Polgar decided to move into the Star class and eventually shared a gold-medal victory with his partner Markus Koy at the 2010 Europeans in Viareggio, Italy. A member of North German Regatta Club, Polgar trained most of his competitive sailing career under the tutelage of his Norwegian-born personal coach Rigo de Nijs.
