Mainland Tactix are a New Zealand netball team based in Christchurch, Canterbury. Between 1998 and 2007, as Canterbury Flames, they played in the Coca-Cola Cup/National Bank Cup league. Between 2008 and 2016, they played in the ANZ Championship. Between 2008 and 2012 they were known as Canterbury Tactix. However, after Netball Mainland was established in October 2012, the team subsequently adopted their current name. Netball Mainland is the governing body that represents the South Island regions of Canterbury, West Coast, Nelson and Marlborough. Since 2017, Tactix have represented Netball Mainland in the ANZ Premiership. During the ANZ Championship era, Tactix won just 20 of their 114 games and never featured in a finals series. However, during the ANZ Premiership era they emerged as challengers. They were grand finalists in both 2020 and 2021
Mo'onia Frances Gerrard is a former Australian netball player of Tongan descent. Her netball career commenced at a very young age; she would often participate in training sessions of her mother's senior Dee Why Beach Netball Club team. When she was old enough to register in a team, Gerrard commenced playing with Narrabeen Youth Club and was later selected to represent Manly Warringah Netball Association at State Age, State Championships and State League. She was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. Gerrard is a current member of the Australian national team, and from 2011 is playing for the New South Wales Swifts in the ANZ Championship. She is the sister of Australian rugby union player Mark Gerrard.
Donna Wilkins is a New Zealand representative in netball and basketball. She married Southland farmer Mike Wilkins on 17 March 2007. Wilkins returned to the Southern Steel for the 2012 season, after a short stint with the Canterbury Tactix in 2011.
Julie Seymour is a New Zealand netball coach, former international netball player and former representative middle distance runner. Seymour played for the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns, in 92 test matches spanning 16 years. During her international career she has competed at three Netball World Championships and two Commonwealth Games. She also captained the Silver Ferns in 2002 and again during the last two years of her international career. After two years in the ANZ Championship, Seymour announced her retirement from competitive netball in 2009. She subsequently took on a coaching role at the Canterbury Tactix as assistant coach.
Jodi Anne Brown is a retired New Zealand netball player. Brown was a member of the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns from 2002 to 2015, taking time off in between those periods due to injury and pregnancy, earning 61 caps. She has also played elite domestic netball in New Zealand for 13 years, and has signed with the Southern Steel for 2014. She played for the Central Pulse in 2015 and was getting set to play her final season in 2016 before she injured her ACL in the preseason and decided to retire from domestic netball after she had retired from international netball in 2015. In 2015, Jodi began co-coaching at St Hilda's Collegiate, Dunedin with the year nine A team. She has since followed this team through the years, which included a devastating 1 point loss in the SISS final. In 2018, Brown coached the St Hilda's Senior A team and also coached the Dunedin U17 team to 11th place at Nationals.
Larrissa Willcox is a New Zealand netball player. She played for the West Coast Fever in the 2008 ANZ Championship season, having played for the same team in Australia's Commonwealth Bank Trophy from 2002 to 2007, when the team was known as the Perth Orioles. In 2009, she switched to New Zealand franchise the Canterbury Tactix, and that same year made her debut for the New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns.
Charlotte Kight is a retired New Zealand netball player. Kight started in the National Bank Cup with the Western Flyers in 2005, under head coach Yvette McCausland-Durie. She played with the Flyers for two years, before moving to the Canterbury Flames for the final year of the competition in 2007. With the start of the ANZ Championship in 2008, she continued to play with the Canterbury franchise, which changed their name to the Canterbury Tactix.
Demelza McCloud is an Australian netball player. She was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. McCloud was selected in the Australian national team in 2004 and 2005. Domestically, she has played for the Adelaide Thunderbirds and Melbourne Kestrels in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy, and also played in New Zealand for the Otago Rebels in the 2007 National Bank Cup.
Phillipa Finch is a New Zealand netball player. Finch has been added to the Southern Steel squad for the 2012 ANZ Championship season to replace the pregnant Wendy Frew. She previously played with the Otago Rebels in the National Bank Cup from 2001. With the start of the ANZ Championship, Finch was signed with the Canterbury Tactix, although she continued to play provincial netball with Otago. Finch was also included in the New Zealand Accelerant Squad, which replaced the New Zealand A netball team in 2008.
Ellen Halpenny is a former New Zealand netball international. She was a member of the New Zealand team that were silver medalists at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. During the ANZ Championship era, Halpenny played for Canterbury Tactix and Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic. She subsequently played for Scottish Sirens during the 2017 Netball Superleague season. During the ANZ Premiership era, she played for Northern Stars and Southern Steel.
Anna Kennedy is a New Zealand netball player. Kennedy plays in the ANZ Championship for the Canterbury Tactix. In 2009, she was named as a member of the Silver Ferns squad. She was included in the FastNet Ferns the following year, and was called back into the Silver Ferns for 2011 as cover for injured vice-captain Temepara George. She made the team for the 2011 Netball World Championships after Cathrine Latu was ruled ineligible.
Julianna Naoupu is a Samoan New Zealander who played for the Samoa national netball team and who plays in the ANZ Championship for the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic.

Angela Mitchell is a New Zealand netball player. Mitchell played domestic netball in the National Bank Cup (NBC) for the Canterbury Flames (1998–2002) and the Otago Rebels. She retired in 2008 when the NBC was replaced by the ANZ Championship, but came out of retirement to return to the Canterbury Tactix as a shooter for the 2009 season. mitchell also played five tests for the New Zealand national team, the Silver Ferns, from 2001 to 2004, making her on-court debut against Jamaica in 2002.
Camilla Lees is a New Zealand netball player.
Jade Bridget Clarke is an English netball player. Primarily a midcourt defender, Clarke was selected for the England national netball team in 2002, making her senior debut the following year against New Zealand. During her international career, she has competed at six Netball World Cups/Championships, four Commonwealth Games, and the 2009 and 2011 World Netball Series.
Shannon Saunders is a New Zealand netball player, who is currently contracted to the Southern Steel in the trans-Tasman ANZ Championship. Saunders, who is a predominantly a midcourter has played for Otago in the National Provincial Championships since 2010. She made the New Zealand under 21 squad in 2011 and played against Australia in three tests. She was later named in the FastNet Ferns squad to compete the World Netball Series, in Liverpool in late November. Saunders joined Silver Fern players Irene van Dyk, Maria Tutaia and Katrina Grant in the side.
Jessica Maclennan is a New Zealand netball player, who currently plays for the Mainland Tactix in the ANZ Premiership. Formerly a shooter, she can play in the GK and GD positions. Maclennan formally played for the Northern Mystics, before joining the Tactix in 2014.
Jane Watson is a New Zealand netball international. She was a member of the New Zealand teams that won the 2019 Netball World Cup and the 2021 Constellation Cup. Watson has also played for both Mainland Tactix and Southern Steel in the ANZ Championship and the ANZ Premiership. In 2017 she was a member of the Steel team that won the inaugural ANZ Premiership title. She was named ANZ Premiership Player of the Year in both 2017 and 2020. In April 2022, Watson was included on a list of the 25 best players to feature in netball leagues in New Zealand since 1998.
The 2020 Mainland Tactix season saw the Mainland Tactix netball team compete in the 2020 ANZ Premiership. As part of their pre-season preparations, Tactix competed in the 2019 Netball New Zealand Super Club, finishing the tournament in sixth place. With a team coached by Marianne Delaney-Hoshek, captained by Jane Watson and featuring Ellie Bird, Temalisi Fakahokotau, Erikana Pedersen, Kimiora Poi and Te Paea Selby-Rickit, Tactix finished the regular ANZ Premiership season in second place, qualifying for their first grand final. However, in the grand final, Tactix lost to Central Pulse 43–31.
